I wasn't looking for a grill but found this on clearance at Sam's so I had to have it. Very good quality product. Assembly was a little slow for me because I didn't watch the video. Afterwards I did watch the video and it would have saved a lot of time. Grill fired up not problems on initial start. My dog and I are bachelor's this week so we had T-bone and hamburger patties. We both enjoyed. I do have any issues with the handle the paper goes in the handle came out. I called customer service and they are shipping one as one as one comes back in stock. I'm replacing all my grills with members mark grills.

Thermo couple burners are bad design

Have had the grill for almost 2 months and was never able to get #4 burner to stay lit. Stays on while heating but after its hot, the burner just refuses to stay on. This grill does take longer and doesnt get as hot, maybe due to size and natural gas Im using. It is of decent quality when it comes to the grates and grill surround. All 5 burner knobs have the same scratch on the face of them which is really annoying for a $750 grill. As others have said, the burners that are supposed to stay on when hot are a total headache to deal with. I would rather have a reliable grill than have this oven feature Ill probably never use. Called customer service, they want me to switch around all the burner parts with another burner but I can never find the time. Probably just return this and get a name brand.

First-Class Grill

The grill comes well packaged to prevent damage to the parts. I am a 44 YO female and put this grill together by myself but did need someone to help put the grill on the stand as it is very large. It took me about 2-2.5 hours to put this together. I used the BILT app for assembly and loved it! I like how you can zoom, rotate, and turn the diagram and replay the step by step instructions as many times as needed. I definitely recommend using the app! Once I put my grill together, my first thought was "WOW"!! This is a beautiful, heavy-duty grill and looks first-class. All of the parts are well made-- even the grates are very heavy. This grill is thermostatic which maintains the desired temperature, just like an oven! You do need to read the instructions on lighting the grill as BBQ mode and Thermostatic mode have different lighting techniques. Once you read how to do it, it is fairly easy to light. I love the viewing window on this grill. I also love the sear burner to get that nice taste on steaks...yum! It has a very large cooking area also. This grill is heavy-duty and well worth the money. I definitely recommend!!!

Poor quality parts and overall reliability

The searing burner electrode failed within 6 months of ownership. It was replaced "free" under warranty after paying a high $16.37 in shipping fees for a few ounces of product shipped in a lightweight bubble envelope. A year later and just out of warranty, the entire electronic ignition system has failed. Additionally, the porcelain coated cast iron searing grate has corroded away, flecking off shards of metal into the meats placed onto the grate and filling the infrared burner below with debris. The grill lives on a covered patio and is therefore never exposed to rain or other harsh elements. There's really no reason for the grate or the ignition module to have failed this early in the grill's life. In my estimation the faults are attributable to poor quality materials and construction. The cost of the replacement parts themselves is reasonable and their customer service in obtaining parts is very good. However, Sam's is clearly price gouging on the cost of shipping. The basic shipping cost is a whopping $38.82 for a total of $22.50 in parts. That's for an 11.25" x 8.5" grate and an ignition module with ignition button. None of those parts are substantial enough in size or weight to justify the unreasonably high cost of shipping. Overall, the Pro Series 5-Burner Gas Grill produces nice cooking results though it definitely does not heat evenly throughout the cooking area and I would prefer it get a little hotter. The main concern is with the overall material and build quality. Having already experienced multiple part failures, I don't expect this grill to last nearly as long as the 11 year old KitchenAid grill it replaced.

The cooking grates are made of 304 Stainless Steel and do not have a coating on top. The channel ignition assembly used on the Member's Mark Pro-Series 5 Burner Gas Grill is the highest quality ignition in the BBQ market. Failures with ignition are most often associated with unplugged wires. Please visit page 24 of your user manual for troubleshooting steps. Excellent Backyard Grill Does it All

I've had this grill for about three weeks now and I've used it almost every day. It is the best grill I have owned by far. It was easy to put together using the instruction booklet. You understand how well it's built and has been designed as you put it together. All burners burn hot and immediately turn on. You can use the built-in thermostatic control, that works like an oven, or old-school thermostat on the lid. The best feature on this grill is the heat resistant glass that's on the front of the grill itself. No more popping the lid up to "check your meats". You can view it directly through the glass window! This grill is a must for any backyard and for those of us who like to entertain. 10/10!

Nice grill

Middle burners work fine if you push in and hold for the thermal coupler, I do for > 10 secs. Is a fine grill. Seems high quality and have used about 20 times. Grilling better than ever. I have not used the oven temp control yet, maybe soon for a pizza. Assembling isn't bad at all but figure 1.5 hrs plus with minor help maybe if you are towards the perfectionist type with power tools. I do recommend.

Didn't get hot, but now it's fixed!!

I bought this grill in march and used it a few times, but it wasn't getting past 450 degree, which isnt hot enough to get a good sear on things. So i reset the regulator a few times and that didn't work Called customer service from the grill manual, and she sent me a new regulator, boom!!! Now I'm cooking with fire! Its a simple system, so people who are wanting to return a grill because it's not getting hot enough, i hope you read how simple the fix was! Well built and pretty. I like the window. I own many different outdoor cooking apparatus and this was to replace my other members mark grill that i never covered and rusted out (my bad!) Now that its working properly, ill be gas grilling much more often!

This Grill is HOTTTT

Holy cow! This is a great addition to our BBQ arsenal. We received this grill and within a couple of hours, my husband had it set up and started cooking. The only help he needed was for me to help him lift the top part as it is larger and heavy and has glass and we did NOT want to break it. I would have cried. Once we set it up it was ready to go, and we went straight to cooking. WE WERE COOKING! We utilized every single feature that night. I wanted to make sure that this grill would do everything we needed it to. We used the sear plate which is a great feature to use for steaks or simmer sauces on the side. We used the oven feature, which cooked the jalapeño popper the best. We grilled some chicken and everything cooking evenly with no issues. Having the glass on the front of the lid is nice because as the oven feature or grill feature is going, we can keep an eye on the food to ensure no burning. The drip pan is plenty big enough to not have to worry with a larger cooking session going. The only flaw we found was a chip in the enamel probably from shipping. But it is minute, and you can correct on your own. All in all, this is a fantastic grill and a fantastic price. The about of uses this one appliance can give lends to the overall value. I am going to eat my steak now! GET COOKIN!

Grill does not produce sufficient heat to be functional.I contacted customer service and did all recommended checks for leaks and did reset regulator numerous times. A new regulator was sent and installed and grill still does not heat up as needed. Is there a defect in this type regulator? What is next step in fixing problem?

Nightmare Grill

Sam's Club should pay you if you can assemble this poor product. Really...it was a nightmare to assemble. Once assembled, if you can still stand up and haven't thrown it into the garbage pile, it doesn't get hot enough and feels very cheaply constructed. The included cover will likely rip with the first gust of wind it encounters. There are so many better products out there. Seriously consider something else before purchasing this. I'm regretting my decision to buy this one.
