I was skeptical about buying this, since I usually buy small appliances at brick and mortar facilities, but I am surprised at how awesome a machine this is! One thing I hated about Keurig is that they rely on you leaving the water in it and it heats the water the whole time until you make a cup. The idea is to get you a cup as son as possible, but the waste of energy is absurd. not to mention leaving it on while you are not home. This unit brews a Keurig Cup in 2 minutes and it's every bit as good (if not better) that the Keurig Machine! A feature I discovered was the DIY Keurig Cup! The reusable Keurig Cup filter designed to be loaded with your own coffee! with my coffee mug, which holds approximately 2.5 cups, is given the best cup of coffee I ever tasted with 2 tablespoons of my favorite ground coffee! The carafe option is great if I feel lazy and don't want to deal with making additional cups on a single cup basis. I also keep the Keurig Cups around in case I want it fast and easy! This device has the best of all worlds!

We've had this probably about a year and a half, and woke up to the same problem reported by others - water all over the counter top. Evidently, the "rigorous testing" is not like real world use. We really liked it otherwise, but I think we'll look at other options.

I bought this unit last year on December 24. It worked well for about a month, then, the water started to leak under the left (karafe) side.The K-Cup side works but the water is never hot enough so, I stopped using it.Still have the receipt from Sam's Club but I don't know if I still can return it for a replacement since it since almost a year has passed.

This is the 4th machine we purchased and each unit lasts only about a year or so (just past warranty) and starts to leak. Great while it works, but …..When Hamilton Beach CO was contacted past warranty about leaks, they will not do anything at all but say sorry. Not worth the expense!!!!!!!!!!

Liked the idea of a 2-way maker. Disappointed that the single serve side did not meet our expectations. Brewed about 4 single cups using "K-cup" type and 2 using ground coffee and only 1 did not blow up and throw coffee grounds everywhere. The lid was very hard to close with the K-cup in it. Company's solution is change coffee brand and use a #1 cone filter. I should not have to do either of these. Hamilton Beach has been around for a long time and we have owned other HB appliances with no issues, but I returned this coffer maker.

I purchased this just over a year ago. Went to make coffee and the water goes from the unit to all over my counter and floor. I googled the problem and found a hose is defective. It cones loose and there is no fix. Hamilton Beach said it’s out of warranty. Too expensive I last thirteen months.

purchased 3.14.2020- woke up today 8.8.20. same spot on countertop since purchased. today it decides simply not to work. returning it. wont replace w same. it doesn't get very hot anyways so I'll try something different. years ago I had a $20 todays cost proctor silex that lasted for 20 yrs that I bought for $12 when i was young and broke so maybe another one of those. Pretty tired of buying stuff i have to replace again and again

Purchased almost 2 months ago, fantastic coffee brewer with a couple of short falls. First be careful when hot plate is on, very hot and will burn you very quickly ( not from experience ) however I do own a quality thermal imager and it registers very hot at around 320 degrees. Second and I tend to think the heat is part of the problem, the hot plate has cracked so I’m thinking return for safety concerns. Sure wish people would get their engineering and safety testing right.

Loved the concept of this coffee maker...... but the single serve side would explode coffee grinds and hot water everywhere. Also not a fan of having to put your specific amount of water in order to brew a single cup. So sad but had to return it. Looking for a Keurig now.
