I have only had this coffee maker for a few days, so I can not speak to its longevity. My Keurig machine died after about 3-4 years of good service. I set out to find the "next best thing" on a budget. I'm not sure that this will last 3-4 years, but for a third of the price of the Keurig I was admiring, it'll be fine! Pros: good price, easy to use, single and carafe in the same machine, makes hot coffee, uses pods or insert which is provided Cons: Single serve takes a while to heat up, noisier than K machine, looks cheaply made. So far, a good machine!

I love the machine BUT the glass carafe is so brittle that all you have to do is bump it lightly and it breaks. Since the carafe cost is almost 1/4 of the total cost I don’t recommend buying. The manufacturer either by design or just a scam so you have to a replacement carafe at an exorbitant cost.

Bought this around 6 months ago, water leaks all over our counter and provides us with about a quarter of carrafe of coffee. Great way to start our mornings. Going to return to Sam’s to see what sort of warranty we have. Will update accordingly. Signed....unhappy coffee drinker:(

As several other reviewers have mentioned the k-cup side of this coffee maker is very poorly designed. Every single cup that this made had grounds in it and after about 1 yr of use the pump clogged and would no longer dispense anything. I figured a little vinegar cleaning cycle might help but that lasted about 1 use before it was clogged again. It would eventually start working if I hit the brew button a few times and then gave it 20 minutes and hit the brew button again sort of like it was frozen or something. Best day ever was when I threw this thing in the trash after replacing it with a keurig.

I purchased this Hamilton Beach duo coffee maker from another department store. The needle is so big that almost all the pods explode on the k cup side. Not worth your time! It even says in the directions, that some pods may be defective and not work. Not true...the pods work in other k cup makers. The coffee pot side works great, hence 2 star rating. But I would have really liked both sides to work. I cleaned up more exploded pod messes than I cared to so I returned it. So I went back to the Krureg brand and payed more for the duo maker and love it!

Never buy this product. Does not brew coffee good. You never taste coffee, it brews so weak no matter how much coffee you put in. The single cup works even worse, no taste of coffee. I bought it during Christmas and yesterday a part fell, just 3 months. I did not register so I am not sure if I get a refund.

How come so many raving reviews, the reservoir on the k cup side is joke, 14oz max? It's nothing like the real deal Kuruig. I am retuning it, it was a waste of time to take it out of the box. If you like pouring water for each cup, it's for you, not me. So much for trusting review points...

Just got my coffee pot. I think it's slow. Especially on the single serve k cup side. I don't like the idea of having to fill before each cup. You sit and wait for it to get hot then brew. I use a large cup so filling it 1 1/2 times. Trying to get used to that or send it back. Styling is good, looks nice sitting out. Love the idea of both carafe or single cup. Price was really good. Still slow.
