Customer reviews for LG Single Unit Front Load LG WashTower forFull size capacity in a small size unit
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this product three weeks ago and couldn't be happier. Nice design and well built. Time will tell if my opinion changes. No mechanical buttons or knobs Easy to use features. This product comes with wireless connectivity which I can't see myself ever using but other wise I have no other complains.
Compact powerful unit
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a compact washer dryer tower that has several useful modes and functions. The small load function on the washer and steam function on the dryer are the most notable for me- sometimes I only need to wash a few items. The steam function works wonders for removing wrinkles from clothing.
Love this All in one Unit
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this unit about 9 months ago and absolutely love it. We've always wanted stacking front loaders, but my wife being 5'0" always had issues reaching the dryer controls on top (most of which are actually angled up some (as they're designed to be sid by sides). When our old washer took a crap last year we stumbled upon this unit that seems to solve this issue. The first (As far as I'm aware) truly designed to be a vertically oriented washer/dryer - with controls in the middle!!! Overall wash/dry quality is excellent. I like the features of the app and that settings auto set to the dryer from your wash cycle - super smart! My only minor complaints are that the dryer accumulates sand/dusty stuff on the door and front of the unit. We've got kids - kids are dirty - this gunk ends up falling on the floor when we open the dryer. Second - the silicone gasket/seal on the washer is already molding some. In my search there were a few newer front loaders that integrate a fan to their washer to specifically dry the gasket. It was a feature I would've really appreciated on this unit. It's annoying to have to leave the door open so the gasket can dry and not mold. I'm worried about having to replace this at some point soon (likely not very cheap). Other than those two issues this unit is fantastic and I'd still highly recommend it to anyone.
Would not purchase again
Washer Pros: small quick load cycle and sanitize cycle. Large capacity. Controls in the middles are nice. Dryer Pros: large capacity. Cons: I have to select each option every time I do a load. There is no favorite setting to save. A laundry basket does not fit under the washer door, I have to move it to open and close the door. I’ve never had a dryer that needed so much maintenance. Having to wipe down the door gasket for lint is rediculous. And I find gobs of lint in the trap opening that I have to remove by hand. Can’t select an individual wash cycle, you have to start from the beginning. This was not designed for a busy person in mind. I’m glad I didn’t have this when I had children living at home. I’m so sorry I didn’t research this more,
We hate to hear this and will be happy to pass your feedback along to our product developers.^Sandy
Doors not Reversible!!!!!
This set was delivered to me yesterday and look very nice. I’m sure they’re going to work great. But the door is not reversible. The specs say it is, but is not. I chatted with LG Chat team 3 times. 1st time , lady couldn’t help and got disconnected. 2nd time- guy said it was reversible but no how-to instructions were given. After looking and trying to see if it was reversible, I chatted a 3rd. time and a lady said they’re Not Reversible. All other washer/dryers I’ve owned in the past have had reversible doors. I’m really surprised LG didn’t give this option on this set. It’s a little frustrating because of my laundry room set up, now doors will always be on my way while doing laundry. I did not get to see these displayed on the floor at the store. These were shown to me on a store computer screen. They looked very nice and sleek so I bought them. But the door swing is my frustration. SO BUYER BEWARE! Study the door swing and make sure it works for your laundry room set up before you buy these.
Performs very well
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had this washer dryer combo for over a month now and have been very pleased with the performance. We have it in our master bathroom, which is very convenient. We have another conventional, top load LG washer dryer combo in the basement that also works very well! But this one is getting the bulk of the use due to the convenient location. Pros:The washer actually holds more than you would expect. Not as much as our LG top load washer, but certainly enough for regular usage. The location of the controls in the center of the unit is very convenient and just makes sense. Whatever setting you use for the wash (ex. regular clothes, bedding, etc.), will automatically default to the equivalent setting on the dryer when move the load in the dryer. Again, this just makes sense. It is relatively quiet and the time per load "seems" to be shorter than with a conventional washer and dryer. My understanding is that there are a lot of sensors in the washer which may be working to reduce the time needed if your load is not too dirty. Also, it looks very nice! We have it in a "closet" space with doors in the bathroom. However, it would look very nice if you didn't have doors or an enclosure. LG app: This is a feature I thought I would hate. I don't need all my appliances to be "smart" and telling me how they are doing... It has actually turned out to be pretty convenient, especially working from home. Just put in load and go about your business. You'll get a notice on your phone when your load is done. Plus you can always check how much time is left. It took a couple of times to set up, but once done, it has been seamless. Cons: Getting moved upstairs was a pain!! We bought at Costco and they had to drop off and come back another day to move upstairs. This is because it is truly a single unit. It does not come apart for install purposes. Over 330 lbs. that essentially needs to be moved vertically (took 3-4 guys) to get upstairs! Make sure you account for this if you buy. A related con is that if either washer or dryer breaks and can't be repaired, you essentially have to buy new combo unit. But I have read other reviews that note that this is essentially the case even with the stacked washer dryers that can be separated (i.e., models change and separate units may not be compatible). I understand some competing models have a larger storage tank for detergent so you can fill and then do multiple loads before refilling. This one does not have that feature, but it works fine, like every other washer we have owned. Lastly, it is more expensive than other stackable units. That said, I think the benefits outweigh the additional expense. I definitely recommend!
Bad Purchase
I bought this washer/dryer for my one bedroom condo. I thought it would be a nice space saver for my condo, but am very disappointed. This washer is very noisy and I have had this washer for 3months and still have not been able to connect to the ThinQ app. This washer has limited wash cycles and smartphone app doestnt work at all. Garge Product.

Many great features, cleans clothes' so well
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We find that the clothes are very clean compared to our old washer, dryer. The washer spin cycle does dry the clothes quite well, making the dryer time even shorter. overall wash and dry time is much less than our old system
Many great features!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My combo unit cam with the house I bought and remained under warranty once I signed up. Great product! Solid features. Easy to use app. Really like the quality of washing. I would like to see a feature added to the app for a scheduled end-time for washing, rather than a scheduled start-time.
Hi there, thank you for sharing your experience with the WKEX200HWA. It’s great to hear the WashTower™ has been a strong fit in your home, especially with its solid features, easy‑to‑use app, and impressive wash performance. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love the Thin Q washer / Dryer stacked unit. Easy to use controls located between the two units for easy access. Less cycle time on both washer and dryer than our previous models. WIFI notification of cycle being completed is a cool feature.
