I do not feel this chair would help someone with back pain that much. It does offer some lumbar support. This is a very sturdy chair, was very easy to put together, is far more comfortable than the one I had and cost a lot less. Based on the bang for your buck I have to give it 5 stars. I do have back problems and had seen another Serta chair I liked much better but due to the fact it is on back order and you are only left with people charging a lot more for that specific chair, this chair is temporary until they are back in stock. I have no regrets on this purchase.

This is a comfy chair for the price but the quality isn’t great. My husband got me this chair because I started teleworking 2 days out of the week. I’m not even 200 lbs and the seam in the middle split opened in 4 months. I expected something better from Serta

After a month and a half of my wife using it for work, the seat has started separating at the seam!! When we first bought it, the handles were damaged. Called Serta and we we were sent new ones. But now the seat. Will return as others comment on peeling.

I have had this chair roughly 1 year and it is ruined. The cushions and pleather are great but the chair's structural design and quality is terrible. The lower hinge where the lift shock and chair bottom meets is warped, leaning to one side and has a fair amount of play in it. The seat back is held to the seat bottom via the arm rest. The structure points inside of my seat back have broken or warped somehow to the point my chair is practically in a permanent reclined position.

I've had it about 2 weeks now and it's terrific! Comfortable, moves easily(even on my carpeted office floor) and it can be wiped down(which I really wanted). $99 is a good price for a chair with a high back. I put it together easily and barely needed the instructions. Highly recommend!

Purchased this desk chair in club. Easy to follow assembly instructions. Took about 30 minutes to unbox and assemble with the Allen Key wrench that comes in the box. Very impressed with how sturdy and comfortable this chair is. Also, this chair makes zero noise when swiveling and/or tilting. I shopped around before purchasing and I believe this chair is comparable to other desk chairs costing twice as much. Thank you Serta and Sam’s Club.

I've gotten this chair before but left it behind when we moved states. Ordered a new one, just in brown (other one was black and we loved it) this one came and the leather was dirty, the holes are drilled wrong, theres a gap between the two seats when put together. Overall it is still comfortable but it looks cheap and I was disappointed because I have the exact same chair at my other house that looks so different in comparison so beware.

I received this chair as a gift two years ago and after about 18 months of use, the seam running across the middle of the seat started ripping and had ripped completely across the seat after another two months. The chair is comfortable, but does not raise very high if you have long legs or just want to sit higher than average. Also the stitching on the arm rests were coming out and the leather was peeling after about 18 months as well. I would give a higher rating for comfort, but I expect an office chair of this price to last longer than 2 years.

When I sit down and begin my day the chair is really comfortable to sit in. As the day wears on my neck begins to hurt. The angle it pushes my legs at causes this issue. I am 6'4" so I am replacing this chair with a higher back chair. I also purchased one for my wife and she too is replacing her chair with a high back chair as she isn't comfortable in this one.

The first issue I noticed with this chair was that it caused my lower legs and feet to swell when I sat in it too long. No other chair does this. Then, I started having horrible upper back pain that was eventually diagnosed as cervical radiculopathy. It got so bag that I couldn’t sit in the chair at all for almost a year. I finally had surgery and my pain is 100% gone. I decided it had nothing to do with the chair and moved my work back to the desk. After the second day sitting in the chair, the pain was back on the other side. Im done. I’m getting a new chair.
