This chair is really comfortable. I would have given it a 5 star review on initial purchase. Unfortunately the leather breaks down and stars peeling itself off just after 2 years. I'm tired of taping and patching... its a home office chair that sees only occasional use, so keep in mind you may only get a year out of it for real 40 hour office work...

I got this chair about 6 months ago- it looked well built and solid, plus the Serta name suggested it was a plusher chair for hours of daily use. It is comfortable, but has two different issues. First, the arms are made of paper-thin pleather that tear REAL easy. And once they tear, it is very sharp. The second issue is the piston tends to go out on these- I have had 2 fail out of 3 after a short time. You sit down, and it immediately sinks to the bottom. It will stay if you raise it back up, but I'm not keen in falling downwards at least once a day.

I purchased this item because of the Serta name and comfort of the chair. Unfortunately, the covering of the armrest of the chair as well as the seat began to show wear within 1.5 years. The seams of the chair began to stretch. I've had the chair less than 3 years now. the covering on the armrests are cracked, and the seat of the chair has a 9" rip where the seams separated. I contacted the company, and a Serta-True Innovation Rep. did respond. She told me the covering of the chair was only guaranteed 1 year, and there was nothing they could do. One option I had was to purchase a new seat cushion (no mention of armrests) for $25 plus shipping. There are so many people with this same problem...many with photos. I am so disappointed in Serta, and I cannot recommend anyone purchase this product. I do recommend customers read the warranty before any purchase. In this case, a "one-year warranty on materials" means you'll be purchasing a new chair annually. Who does that?

We bought this for our nephew. He needed a desk and office chair for his computer system that he uses for gaming. So I'm guessing he sits in it for long stretches of time. Anyway, it was on display at the Club. I sat in it. Very comfortable. Liked the Serta name like the other reviewer. I thought the price was excellent. He's been using it for over a month and I haven't heard any complaints! I sit in it when I visit his apartment. Still seems great to me. I didn't notice any damage to the material or anything and he has two cats. So I think it is holding up well. And my nephew weighs in the 225 lb range. Very pleased.

I purchased this chair because of the price and the Serta name. What a mistake. The chair began to tear and wear within 4 months! The seams on the arms began to tear as well as the seams in the seat. As the fabric on the arms wore, the small pieces of vinyl (?) would fall to the floor and I would continually sweep the floor where pieces of the chair had fallen. I'm having trouble uploading photos of this piece of crap. Save your money. Do not buy. I called Serta and they sent me parts, but the quality is so poor I just put the chair on the curb. I learned my lesson - never buy a cheap chair no matter the name. I tried to post this with one star and I couldn't! This is the worst chair I've ever owned

I bought 2 chairs and the first one completely sat and look good but the second assembly exposed a bent metal attachment to chair which made the chair sit leaning 1" toward the right. To avoid shipping/return issues I added 2 washers 1/4' thick to the bottom plate to fix problem. Both chairs sits as I believe the should after mechanical intervention. I still like the Price!

Stapler pins tear at the top part of the chair. Injured by finger while moving the chair. The seat is made of fake cheep quality material. Will not recommend this to anyone. The chair is 1.5 years old and rarely used. I weigh 165lbs and the worst purchase made at samsclub.

After about a year the hydraulic lift start leaking and I had to keep raising it. I went to Sams one day to see some else return the same chair a few months back with the same issue. If you go outside of Sams for a review of this product I found that this is a common issue.

I purchased this chair on June 30 and have nothing to report but regret. The first issue I noticed was that the chair would randomly unlock from the upright position. So I would be minding my business, then suddenly go flying backward. About two weeks ago, it started to squeak every time I would sit down or shift in the chair. Today, I've found that one of the seams in the seat is coming apart. In the time I've had this chair, I've only had to work from home for two weeks, and I am 80 lbs BELOW the weight limit on the chair. There is no excuse for this poor quality!

I bought this approx 1 yr ago & thought I just needed to get used to it. It slopes forward too much at the legs. Can't really sit back because it is "slippery" because of the leather and the slopping. Can't afford another chair so I just have to deal with it. When I can get another I will go to office depot or staples, Not Sam's because a lot of their stuff is overrated.
