I purchased one of these years ago and it was good, but never great and the plastic cracked. I looked around when it was time to replace and decided to try it again. Unfortunately here I am about 45 days into this purchase and the swivel mechanism locks up and it wont tilt. (It's kind of a claustrophobic feeling when you can't lean back even a little ways when you know you should be able to.) Overall just nowhere near the quality one would expect for the Serta name to be associated with it.

After a month and a half of my wife using it for work, the seat has started separating at the seam!! When we first bought it, the handles were damaged. Called Serta and we we were sent new ones. But now the seat. Will return as others comment on peeling.

My wife and I both ended up working from home. We had already bought one of these chairs for our home computer that my son was using for Virtual learning. We now have three of these, they are comfortable and I am happy to spend my entire work day in mine.

I bought this for my husband and he loves the chair, but unfortunately the left armrest has been lifting, and he can’t get it back into place. Of course, we are just a few weeks out of warranty. Why do things always break days after the warranty expires?????

Seemed like a great chair at first! Would have given 5 stars. Now, not even 6 months after buying it the leather is peeling off and under where my daughter sits (mind you she’s 8 and only maybe 60 pounds) the seam came apart. It’s not complete junk in less than a year and I wasted $100.

I have been in need of a try office chair to replace a simply fold out chair that I have been using. I was in Sam's purchasing other items and noticed this chair. I sat in the chair for a few minutes and wow it is super comfortable. I ended up purchasing one to replace my current chair. The assembly was not bas except for the little plastic plugs that cover the screw holes. For the price, it will be hard to beat. I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Ive had this for a year and have tried to love it but dont. The cushion seat itstoo much of a hump to the point where you cant sit in the middle without ending up to the left or right of it. The lock in bar gives a lot of play where you dont feel very stable. Im 5'8" at 135 lbs and by no means petite, maybe if I were larger I would enjoy the chair more. I can put both arms inside the armrest when I type and have plenty of room. Maybe youll like it, but as for me Im back in the market looking for a new chair.

I bought this chair about 10 months ago. I work from home so use it 8 hour for work 5 days a week. I weigh less then 120 pounds. The pleather is peeling and the seam is separating. Not high quality at all if looking for an everyday work chair. If looking for a decoration that is used occasionally maybe this would work who knows but if you need something on the daily do not waste your money!

I work from home and spent a lot of hours working at my kitchen table, sitting in a typical kitchen chair. When I bought this chair, I thought it looked very nice and felt pretty comfy. But I have found that the seat *really* hurts my tailbone. I have to adjust my position constantly because it hurts so much that it is difficult to stand up. I do not have this problem with any other seat I use, so it must have something to do with the shape of the seat. If you don't have a sensitive tailbone (ha!) you may do better than I have with this chair. I'm sure it's great for some, but just OK for me. I will be buying a new chair.

I am a fairly handy guy but this chair assembly was a definite challenge! When connecting the seat back you have to find a way to compress the base of the seat back against the rear of the seat of the mounting screws will not line up. I used a couple of Phillips screw drivers inserted into the bottom of the holes and then was able to muscle the seat back into place. Be careful not to strip the screw inserts in the chair back. I ended up using an electric screw driver with the correct bit size (lucky I had) to drive the mounting screw in. Super nice chair, terrible assembly experience. I'll mark "Yes" on recommending with reservation.
