disappointed

I was hoping this would compare to a Sleep Number bed like we see in the mall but at a much better price. Unfortunately the mattress was 6-7 inches at best, not the 10 inches as stated, and the padding was cheap and lumpy. Pump was loud and vibrated loudly even with a folded towel underneath. With better and thicker padding and a slightly less noisey pump this might be a good product. As it is, it's not worth the money or the effort of putting it together. Returned to Sam's after only one night.

Far Better than Sleep Number

My wife & I previously owned a Sleep Number bed. We are very impressed with the better quality of construction of this bed. Slept on it for the first time last night and it was very comfortable. I always wake up "stiff" with aches ... woke up this morning without any of that. Only one minor complaint; as others have noted, there is quite a bit of "off gassing" with the air chambers. Kind of similar to what you experience when you get new carpeting. We opened the packages and let them air our for a few days before putting the bed together. There still is a slight smell, but tolerable. I'm sure it will be eventually completely gone.

Love - Love - with a little hate

We purchased the CA King after seeing the price difference between SN and Inomax plus they had a return policy - so what the heck if we can save $1,500 we'll try. The mattress was delivered quickly - ordered it on Monday (Oct 23, 2016) had it on Friday. We aired the components out before assembling it for three days because it did stink. Assembly was a breeze, but that smell was still as strong as the first day we unpacked. The motor we received is not that loud. We filled the mattresses, laid on them while we discharged the air then filled it to the point we felt comfortable at. I slept like never before but that SMELL...would kill the dead all over. Being the tough old bird that I am I was able to weather it but it drove my husband to the guest bedroom for TWO WEEKS. We totally opened up the bed every single day for SIX WEEKS and laid the foam out as well as the air mattresses to help the off-gassing. Not fun. The funny thing is that I have not SLEPT AS GOOD AS I DO ON THIS MATTRESS for years! I found my perfect number within 2 days but slept good from the beginning of receiving it. I check the air every third day and for the most part it seems ok but I do have to fill it on occasion. I agree with the other reviews the remotes are spastic. At times it may show 16 but when I put air into the mattress the remote changes to 7 and goes up. Does that mean it's defective? I am not sure but I'm working with it. The real complaint is the off-gassing. There is still that smell which we don't care for but it is not chasing us out of the bedroom. The SMELL IS STILL THERE BUT NOT AS STRONG after almost 3 months. We are not sure if this is a problem with all adjustable air mattresses since this is our first purchase. After all that being said, I am feeling so rested when I wake up in the mornings and that "foggy brain" is gone! We are sleeping great. Possibly ultra firm mattresses may not be necessary for back issues. The benefits are great and far outweigh the negatives. I recommend this mattress even though it still smells (which will go away or so I've been assured by many).

So glad I finally took the plunge

Had been reading reviews and wanting to purchase. Finally did and am happy I did. Only took few minutes to set up. If you don't have a box spring definately look in to getting one. The mattress is the only item that I purchased. I am pleased with the workmanship and the whole mattress all around. Took a few nights to get the sleep number right, but thats the fun of the bed. My partner wasn't too enthused, but after sleeping and getting the air right he is a convert. He said his pain and sleep level definately improved. Regular sheets fit great. We do have a topper, that helps with the lines of the the baffles. It remains cool to sleep on. The pump is quiet until you start to blow it up. But only a few seconds of noise, I can handle that. If you think you may want this bed..go for it..you won't be disapointed. Shipping was fast, box not heavy. Set it all up by myself, it was a breeze.

Major disappointment

Ordered the bed on a weekend and received it quickly. When we unpacked the air chambers, we noticed that one of them had mold discoloration all over it - of fair concern given this was supposed to be a new bed. Nevertheless, we assembled it and planned to call in the morning when customer service was open. Found out overnight that one side would not stay inflated. It was also hard to set a firmness level as the number seemed to jump around. The remotes did not seem to be as responsive or consistent as we expected. Customer service seems to be more of a storefront or answering than an actual business - not overly impressed with their service. This bed is going back!

Excellent bed but why the bad reviews.

We sleep on that bed since 2 weeks now and it is a major improvement over our previous (top of the line) spring mattress. I do not understand the complaints: this is clearly NOT a cheap air mattress. The bladders look very sturdy and I guess that they are built with a large number of baffles. Unlike a beach or camping air mattress, the baffles equalize the pressure. My wife and I each have some back problems and this mattress makes a difference. As others have said, holes for the air holes were missing. Besides that assembly was easy. The supplied foam or gel pad is thin but we had a 4" memory foam pad. We first tried the mattress with the thin one that came with the bed and it works fine too. The "comfort foam" top and the foam beams all around it look a little cheap but the important parts: bladders, pump, hoses and connectors look solid. Last point, it is about 1" smaller all around than our previous king size mattress.

Excellent mattress & A1 service

The manufacturer, InnoMax, called me twice to tell me when I could expect the delivery. Now that is service I haven't seen in years! The mattress came in 1 week in one big box and took my husband a total of 2-3 hours to assemble and zip close. We both haven't slept so well in years since we got rid of our water bed which sprung a leak. This mattress is better because it has solid foam rails and each side of the mattress can be adjusted for firmness. The quality is great, the price is $500+ cheaper than the brand name store, and we have 2 controls not 1. We did not order the next grade up as the only difference was the thickness of the top. We figured we could always get a topper if needed but that is not the case. We love it as is.

Best sleep in years

Bought the dual digital Princeton bed. After reading reviews, put on a 2 inch memory foam topper and had the best sleep in about 3 years. We tried 4 inches, but it was too much. We bought a tempurpedic bed 3 years ago, took the trial period and had to pay $200 to trade it for another tempurpedic. I wasted $2000 plus chiropractic bills for three years. I have been almost crippled every day since. My husband told me that he was buying me a sleep number bed for Christmas. I researched sleep number beds and ran into this one. It is so nice to get a good night sleep and be able to walk in the morning again. Have a lot of energy that I had lost too. No more back, shoulder, and hip problems. I feel like I am 15 years younger.

Very Impressive

I'll begin by saying I'm a Memory Foam bedding fan. I wanted to buy the famous brand name memory foam mattress but after sleeping on a airbed, I decided to check out Sleep Number. While I like Sleep Number, they are very expensive. I looked at Sam's Club, and found I could purchase a much better bed at a cheaper price. Because I am a journalist on TV... I will give it to you straight and tell you to buy the cheapest version of this bed ( which is very nice) and buy a 3-Inch memory foam topper from Sam's Club. It provides the least expensive way to mimic the most expensive versions of ALL airbeds. No matter what version of the airbed you decide on, I wouldn't hesitate to buy from Sam's, the delivery was very quick, 5 days total. My advice, skip sleep number, get more options, pay less and get standard delivery which is quick. Buy it, you'll love it... TH

Terrible mattress

Bought this bed in hopes of replacing our current aging air mattress, to no avail. I prefer an air mattress because it usually doesn't have pressure points like a traditional mattress. Boy did this bed ever prove me wrong. So the bed arrived in about 4 days after ordering, so was quite pleased with how quickly it arrived. Putting it together though, the pump overheated after inflating just one side of the mattress. I had to wait an hour to let it cool off so I could fill the other side. That was ridiculous as I have never had my current pump have any such issues in 10 years. I was already worried the pump was going to be an issue day one, which isn't good. It only took one night of attempting to sleep on this for it to go back to Sam's Club. Every setting I tried was too hard, and even the wife's first comments was "wow, this is terrible." The next day, my entire body ached from head to toe, and was miserable. For grins, I put the air bladder from my old mattress inside the shell for a few minutes to see if it was the shell of the bed or the air bladder that was the main culprit; it was absolutely the way the air bladder was made that made my body hurt. It was also the fact that both sides leaked air and we were sleeping on the foundation by morning didn't help either. Yes, the hoses were seated properly on the pump, as I'm quite familiar with assembling and disassembling my current air bed, which was quite similar in construction. To note, my current air bed does NOT leak air, even after sleeping on it for months at a time. One thing to note; Yes, it does have 50 settings. There are not 50 USABLE settings though. Pretty much anything below 10 and you'll be sleeping on your foundation, not air. Bottom line, it went back to Sam's the next day. Thankfully Sam's has top quality customer service and the return was quick and painless. Thank you Sam's! For $1000, I was hoping for better. Do note, with the way they pack this mattress by vacuum sealing the packaging, there is no way in the world you'd ever get it in the box to ship it back.
