Good quality bed

This bed is the Innomax Evolutions. (All airbeds within Sams "sleep" line appear to be Innomax.) Check websites for more information than is provided here. The bed is of high quality--including the foundation and compressor. Delivery (3 boxes) was very prompt and setup was straightforward. I tried a Sleep Number bed in the store and found the foam beam in the middle very annoying. That's what prompted me to consider this bed which in my judgement is clearly superior (and a bit less money).

Far Better than Sleep Number

My wife & I previously owned a Sleep Number bed. We are very impressed with the better quality of construction of this bed. Slept on it for the first time last night and it was very comfortable. I always wake up "stiff" with aches ... woke up this morning without any of that. Only one minor complaint; as others have noted, there is quite a bit of "off gassing" with the air chambers. Kind of similar to what you experience when you get new carpeting. We opened the packages and let them air our for a few days before putting the bed together. There still is a slight smell, but tolerable. I'm sure it will be eventually completely gone.

Pretty good value so far

We have owned this bed for about 2 weeks. My husband set the bed up by himself and said it wasn't too hard. There isn't a lot to it. The first night we slept on it, I didn't really like it. It can go up to a high pressure setting of 50, but I wasn't comfortable until I lowered it down to about 15. I am a heavier person, so that might be part of it. After about a week of feeling that the bed was just too hard, I went out and bought a 3" thick memory foam mattress topper. This has made all the difference for me. It allows the air mattress to be more firm and provide great support while letting the memory foam topper give me the cushion and luxury feeling that I was missing. And if the memory foam topper gets old, I can just replace it. When my husband gets out of bed or tosses and turns, I don't feel it at all...which is great. I haven't had the bed long enough to comment on its staying power, but I am hopeful that it will last us a long time.

Good as the most expensive.

We had one of the most expensive airbeds for many years. It had developed a slow leak and the sides had no support left. We decided to try a less expensive brand so we picked yous. WOW are we glad we did. It sleeps just as well. We are in our eighties and both of us have back trouble. We are sleeping like babies again.

Terrible mattress

Bought this bed in hopes of replacing our current aging air mattress, to no avail. I prefer an air mattress because it usually doesn't have pressure points like a traditional mattress. Boy did this bed ever prove me wrong. So the bed arrived in about 4 days after ordering, so was quite pleased with how quickly it arrived. Putting it together though, the pump overheated after inflating just one side of the mattress. I had to wait an hour to let it cool off so I could fill the other side. That was ridiculous as I have never had my current pump have any such issues in 10 years. I was already worried the pump was going to be an issue day one, which isn't good. It only took one night of attempting to sleep on this for it to go back to Sam's Club. Every setting I tried was too hard, and even the wife's first comments was "wow, this is terrible." The next day, my entire body ached from head to toe, and was miserable. For grins, I put the air bladder from my old mattress inside the shell for a few minutes to see if it was the shell of the bed or the air bladder that was the main culprit; it was absolutely the way the air bladder was made that made my body hurt. It was also the fact that both sides leaked air and we were sleeping on the foundation by morning didn't help either. Yes, the hoses were seated properly on the pump, as I'm quite familiar with assembling and disassembling my current air bed, which was quite similar in construction. To note, my current air bed does NOT leak air, even after sleeping on it for months at a time. One thing to note; Yes, it does have 50 settings. There are not 50 USABLE settings though. Pretty much anything below 10 and you'll be sleeping on your foundation, not air. Bottom line, it went back to Sam's the next day. Thankfully Sam's has top quality customer service and the return was quick and painless. Thank you Sam's! For $1000, I was hoping for better. Do note, with the way they pack this mattress by vacuum sealing the packaging, there is no way in the world you'd ever get it in the box to ship it back.

Excellent mattress & A1 service

The manufacturer, InnoMax, called me twice to tell me when I could expect the delivery. Now that is service I haven't seen in years! The mattress came in 1 week in one big box and took my husband a total of 2-3 hours to assemble and zip close. We both haven't slept so well in years since we got rid of our water bed which sprung a leak. This mattress is better because it has solid foam rails and each side of the mattress can be adjusted for firmness. The quality is great, the price is $500+ cheaper than the brand name store, and we have 2 controls not 1. We did not order the next grade up as the only difference was the thickness of the top. We figured we could always get a topper if needed but that is not the case. We love it as is.

I'm finally sleeping!

Overall, the bed is a great investment. I have back issues and need a firm bed...my husband doesn't. We can both sleep comfortably together. The only issue we had was when installing the hoses, one of the plastic locking tabs snapped. It took a couple of days for the pressure to hold while the air bladders stretched out-works fine for us now though.

NewAirBed

It took me a long time to decide to order this bed. It came down to whether or not to spend an extra $200 for the pillowtop and I decided I just couldn't afford that now. Delivery was quick and the trucking company called ahead so we could make arrangements to be here when it arrived. The bed was easy to setup only problem is that the compressor was too high to fit under bed - only by an inch so maybe it will work for you. The first night was so-so but after a couple more nights with different adjustments, I finally found my number and have slept well ever since.

Very Impressive

I'll begin by saying I'm a Memory Foam bedding fan. I wanted to buy the famous brand name memory foam mattress but after sleeping on a airbed, I decided to check out Sleep Number. While I like Sleep Number, they are very expensive. I looked at Sam's Club, and found I could purchase a much better bed at a cheaper price. Because I am a journalist on TV... I will give it to you straight and tell you to buy the cheapest version of this bed ( which is very nice) and buy a 3-Inch memory foam topper from Sam's Club. It provides the least expensive way to mimic the most expensive versions of ALL airbeds. No matter what version of the airbed you decide on, I wouldn't hesitate to buy from Sam's, the delivery was very quick, 5 days total. My advice, skip sleep number, get more options, pay less and get standard delivery which is quick. Buy it, you'll love it... TH

disappointed

I was hoping this would compare to a Sleep Number bed like we see in the mall but at a much better price. Unfortunately the mattress was 6-7 inches at best, not the 10 inches as stated, and the padding was cheap and lumpy. Pump was loud and vibrated loudly even with a folded towel underneath. With better and thicker padding and a slightly less noisey pump this might be a good product. As it is, it's not worth the money or the effort of putting it together. Returned to Sam's after only one night.
