It has a lot of nice options and even allows you to use AI to determine the recommended settings based on laundry. I find it washes our clothing thoroughly and efficiently. I love my new washer. It has a large capacity and can fit large items like comforters and blankets.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I switched from another brand after moving and leaving my beloved LG behind. This has made my heart so happy again. And game charger that the app will tell me when it's done!!! No more forgetting the loads and rewashing 18 times. It also reminds me when to run a cleaning cycle to keep it smell free. Has a ton of options for loads including AI sensing which honestly is just my new go to. And it has not spun unbalanced even once. 40 something loads so far and not a single hitch. I absolutely adore this machine and next time I move this baby is coming with me. Only thing I don't like or is weird I guess is that the soap dispeser fills up with water and dumps out the back when you open it to remove clothes. Not a deal break but surprised me the first few times I opened it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] You never truly know how badly you need a new washer until you get the new one and realize how many “issues” you’d been taking for granted. Right away this washer slotted in as the perfect upgrade and there’s been noticeable improvements. The smallest but it represents LG not leaving any detail behind is the bleach cup. In old systems it was a separate part that snapped out but that left it open to rust and grime. This new one is molded in place so you only have to worry about the drain hole becoming clogged. My very first use went straight for the ThinQ app (there’s two QR codes inside the machine so make sure you grab the right one.) I needed to wash delicates and there’s not a preset n the selector wheel BUT I honestly think this was the best thing for me because once I entered the app I could see why you didn’t want to miss it. Soaking options, multiple rinse cycles, the aforementioned delicate cycle were all there and honestly if the delicates cycle had been on the selector wheel, I probably wouldn’t have checked out ThinQ for a while. Overall though this is a workhorse, I’ve run at least 12 loads through it this week and it performs like a champ. The only odd item is the detergent cup doesn’t always drain but since I’m using reusable pods in the tub, it hasn’t affected things at all. I’ll probably call in and just validate how to make sure that works well going forward in case I switch back to liquid. The actual washing though is superb. It seems much smarter than my last top loader that would leave everything plastered to the walls and required drying the clothes to get out the wrinkles. In this case it seems to more gently end things so the clothes aren’t pinned and twisted, so hanging up clothes to dry works much better. Other improvements I’ve noticed are the lid, the additional cycle options, the spinning impeller (seems to be made of a new material that looks to hold up longer, my last one looked like it had a fight with a wagon of cats), and the top edge of the basin looks like it’s angled to reduce the tendency of debris sitting in there over time. Only time will tell if this one holds up longer or just as long as the previous but shout out to LG that the motor and actual function never failed so I’m looking forward to this one lasting just as long. Definitely feels like they improved all the items I might have noted as wanting to upgrade on my last set and the love the color. Touch panel is fairly fingerprint prone but rest is A+.

Do not buy at all costs. The latch that locks it in place after 4 months, the build quality is disturbingly bad, it feels very fragile to use and can break at any time. Also it cannot handle simple detergents like Tide, after a wash cycle, left over detergent will still be in the basket. IT requires me to use vinegar to thin out the detergent as the machine is too weak. I would 100% avoid this washing machine. Not worth the money and I don't think I will every buy from LG again.

I wish I can write a review with 5 negative stars. If you want your clothes to get washed run away from it. By using a normal cycle I got my clothes with dry patches in them and with lint spots. It's either using wasted amount of water (and yet poor wash) or don't use even half of what is needed. After 1.5 month of using it, I'm going to sell it (if anyone wants this) and buy another one. I bet those smart engineers that created that never did their own laundry in it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had to wait to write this review until I had a real chance to try out several cycle options the LG Mega Capacity Washer (WT8200CL) offers. By now, I had the chance to wash my toddler’s clothes on the Baby cycle, my husband’s mechanic uniforms on the Heavy Duty, my office dresses on the Delicates and even let my teenage daughter experiment with the AI setting. None of them have disappointed me, every load has come out cleaner! I’ve also realized I use less detergent since it has a softener, liquid detergent and powder detergent tray that dispenses it more efficiently. The spin cycle wrings clothes out so that drying time is noticeably shorter. What I love most is the EasyUnload design. At 5’1”, reaching the bottom of a top-load washer has always been a challenge but this is a game changer. No more stretching or struggling to reach the last sock! The ThinQ app is another of my favorite feature. I can I customize my cycle settings, monitor the wash progress and get alerts on my phone and Google Hubs. Overall, the LG Mega Capacity Washer has exceeded my expectations in every way. It’s a luxury I didn’t know I couldn’t live without!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s an upgrade to our old lg washer original was purchased new in 2012 it lasted till June 2025 without needing any kind of maintenance. So when it died we looked for something affordable and the same machine we had came up but the newest edition with all the bells and whistles here’s to hopefully another 12 years of amazing products. FYI the original lg dryer bought back in 2012 is still going strong. Some of the features of the upgraded washer I love are the ai wash and the app notifications. It’s nice to have updates when not at home just to remind me that hey don’t forget there is clothes that needs to be dried. Great job lg love your products. The installation was easy and hassle free.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Oh man! I had an extra capacity top load washer before this that had issues since I first bought it. I’m so glad to have replaced it with this LG WT8200CL. It’s big, tough, pretty, many washing options. Takes a minute to get use to customizing your wash, but that was it.

Large capacity and quiet. Like having the bottom agitator which seems to allow more room.

Deep drum holds everything and cleans great! Used it for a month now and am loving it.
