[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] At about 8-9 months old my dog started having severe eye problems. Hundreds of dollars spent on weekly vet visits helped but did not cure her condition. I asked the vet for suggestions when it was time to transition her to "big dog food". Purina One was in the top-3 list. Our sweet doggy loves her new food! And she has been off of her medicine for over 2 weeks with no major flair ups. I am not saying Purina One "cured" her, but I do think it gave her a much-needed extra boost of nutrition. My only complaint would be that the bottom of the bag is full of meaty crumbles. But I am not sure if anything can be done of that - I think the tender texture is part of the appeal.

When my dog turned a year old (6 months ago - 03/2012) I tried multiple adult dog food for him (he is a rat terrier). With the foods I tried, he either did not like or it made him itch very bad. Then I tried Purina One Smartblend Lamb and Rice and he loved it! He also did not itch any longer! My dogs coat looks good, his eyes are clear and shiny, he has the energy to play, and his stools are normal. This is a GREAT product and reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to feed their dog the best at a good price.

All three of mine got sick from this food, vomiting, diahrea, itchy. After researching and reading your reviews Ive decided to stay away from kibble all together. I think Purina needs to do some testing as to why hundreds if not thousands of dogs and cats have been getting sick yet they deny and seem more concerned with profits. FEED AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! When we purchased our White Boxer 2 years ago there were many instructions that came along with him. I've had lots of rescued dogs over the years as a former K9 Officer and many different breeds, but this was to be my first Boxer. He's perfect ..with little side notes. :) I was recommended a higher priced dogfood, and though I have fed all my dogs Purina One or Purina Pro, I did as they said. We went through allergies, gas, not wanting to eat, everything... til we went back to this one...Lamb and Rice. He does not want anything else. His weight is perfect, His skin, health, energy..couldn't ask for more. Thank You.

My dog was previously on a bet recommended dry food by a big name dog food company but I noticed her coat was dull, skin was dry and unhealthy, and she wouldn't eat until she was VERY hungry. After comparing brands I chose Purina One and she loves it. Eats as soon as I feed her, and after two weeks her skin and coat look fantastic.

We have a Shepard mix we welcomed home from a shelter as a puppy. She is now 5 years old and she loves the Lamb and Rice formula with the chewy and crunchy bits. We feel good about feeding her Purina One and we can tell it makes her feel good with lots of energy.

I've had several dogs (3 right now) and Purina has been my chosen food for all of them. The last few years, it has only been lamb and rice, dry. They love it. Purina has been an expert in animal feed for years. My Grandpa had huge bags of Purina feed in his barn. You can't dispute longevity and leadership.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purina One Smartblend Lamb and Rice Formula is the ONLY dog food that my dog actually BEGS for! In the morning she will start digging at the bag if I don't get to her dish quick enough! I've had to divide her daily portion into 2-3 smaller servings throughout the day because she wants HER food-rather than mine!- every time I eat. I would recommend this food for finciky eaters AND regular appetite dogs...they will LOVE it too!
