My 2 dogs absolutely loved the taste of the turkey and venison dry dog food. Wanted to try something different than the usual chicken or beef to see if the picky eater would like it and she dId, cleaned the bowl. 1st ingredient is meat and the price is great.

It's hard to review dog food since not all dogs like the same thing. I have to give this five starts though and would give more. I have not found one flavor of true instincts my dogs do not like. I feed them quite a bit of hot food. I make theirs and then pull it then season mine so they got really picky. They will always eat the Turkey and Venison though. Their favorite is the Bison flavor.

But then I tried True Instinct and she absolutley loves feeding time. She cannot wait and almost inhales this food, but keeps her weight in check. Plus no fillers so much less in her stools. She is much happier eating this formula

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Compared to other Purina kibble, this one seemed a bit harder for our dogs to chew/bite, almost like it was a tougher kibble. For that I’d say steer clear if your dog has sensitive teeth/is older. Otherwise, our girls ate it up!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried the purina one smart blend with my german shepherd husky mix puppy and she hated it. She was crying as she was eating it. I had to go out and buy another food for her. I've tried other purina one products with her and she loved it. Perhaps it was just that particular type.

Scout LOVES this food—both turkey-venison and tuna-salmon. Four months of True Instincts and he is pulling harder on the leash, has a silkier, thicker coat, bright eyes, and takes time to chew this food. He is a ten yr old Brittany but has energy of a puppy!

Since our Boykin grew out of puppy chow 3 years ago, we searched for reasonably priced quality dog food. As she has a sensitive stomach, this was the only one that she would gobble down and never threw up after. She can eat a Few pieces of any other dog food and she has GI issues immediately. The pieces of this dog food are not to big and not to hard to chew on, which is a big +. Once visiting friends they’re 13+ old dog would eat only wet food for past year due to dry food being to hard to chew - we were all amazed when we caught her eating our dogs Purina One.

I was worried about changing my dogs food- will they like it???- but they were eating a fancy, grain free, pricey food that I knew needed to be changed. Put it in the bowl- the black and tan cook hound comes inside and smells it and checks it out and is immediately into it. Then the beagle gets curious, so I put out a a little for him to test (he’s the diva prince I was worried about) and he’s immediately into it. They have both eaten a healthy and good amount of it on their first night! I’m totally sold.
