This is not my first LG refrigerator. I had the one with the 2 door open function that allowed you to get drinks, etc out without opening the entire refrigerator. LOVED THAT PRODUCT!! But can not locate a similar one in our area; so we opted for this refrigerator with the "knock" and see function. I simply love the simplicity of the look. It matches my other LG products in the kitchen perfectly. What I would change if given an option, is 1) to add a handle and 2) remove that hinge on the top of the door, if possible. This is a fairly deep refrigerator and the hinge just sticks up a little too high for comfort. And I love the sleekness of the look, but it requires you to grab the ledge under the door to open the refrigerator because there is no handle. I'm not a big fan. Once you start using the refrigerator, the practicality of not having a handle becomes clear. You can't come in with a bunch of groceries in your hands to put things up, etc and grab a handle with 1 or 2 fingers to open the door. You have to lower your hand and grab the edge of the door. This results in whatever is in your hands, sliding door your arm, hand, etc and hitting on the refrigerator door. Just my thoughts. I intend to have this refrigerator a long time, but I sure did LOVE the previous version more than this one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had this refrigerator in my home less than 3 wees and it stop getting cold. LG service had repairer come in and replaced th compressor on the refrigerator. After a day the refrigerator is still not working. I have been without a refrigerator for over 1 month and it is brand new. I am not happy with refrigerator or LG service.

I got this fridge in January and now in September I have had the LG repair man to my house 4 times and the problem is still not resolved. The freezer works well, and I like the layout and the 2 ice makers, but the refrigerator will not stay cold, it remains at about 40-45 degrees.

I really do not like this fridge there is not enough space. It only has two drawers and not even one is a crisper to keep veggies fresh. It does not make enough ice on time to keep two people with ice water. It is so slow!! Also there is no small drawer or anywhere to store butter or cheese. It is just made wrong in all the wrong ways. Very disappointed

We have enjoyed being able to knock on the door to see if there is anything we want out of the fridge before we open the door. It cools everything evenly and at the perfect temperature. I am super happy with this purchase!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We shopped all over for a refrigerator that had everything checked off on our list of needs and wants. This fridge is huge!. Looks great and the glass see-thru side is really cool. It makes a load of ice quickly, and it also makes really unique ice balls (for mixed drinks) with a separate ice maker drawer. Great price and great reviews we checked thoroughly before buying this beast. We are completely satisfied.

We are so happy with the LG refrigerator. It is quiet, solid and has more room than I anticipated. In prior side by sides I couldn't see anything in the drawers. It is easy to see everything and I really appreciate the viewing door as well as the large ice cubes.

We love this fridge, we can find things before we open the door which saves money. Only one problem, the ice makers. The craft ice maker stopped working in December and one month later the door ice maker quit. The craft has been replace and is working well. We are waiting for the door ice maker to arrive. (on order).

This is a great fridge! I love a side by side as that style freezer works best for me organizationally. It opens similar to a feench door, which is great as the doors swing widely to allow access. It was so easy or organize and easy to see what you have. I LOVE the knock twice refrigerator view drawer, as my son can do that now to see what we have instead of standing there with the door open all the time. The ice and water dispenser on the door is brighter and easier to read than most - and a good design for selecting options. We also love the craft ice balls. Really nice upgrade. Highly recommend - super happy with it!

We are extremely pleased with our LG side-by-side “Instaview” refrigerator w/bottom freezer purchased a few months ago. Our favorite features are the ice cubes: slow melting ice craft, regular and crushed, as well as the knock twice to view contents of the frig. It’s aSouppie sleek, flat feature and it performs very well. I could not ask for a more reliable electronic in my kitchen. Thanks LG!
