We purchased this fridge specifically for the craft ice feature. It’s a little loud and occasionally glitches. We were not aware the fridge needed to be updated. Customer support was less than supportive. We ended up having to replace the craft ice maker. It’s still a tad loud, but that’s just something we have to accept apparently.

The side-by-side was intriguing as we were replacing a French door style. One of our concerns was if the freezer would hold a frozen pizza-and it does! The roominess on both sides have been optimal. The transparent door really makes one “keep it neat “ and we have a really good looking interior, if I say so myself! We have been very pleased with the standard ice and the craft ice, kinda fancy!! We would certainly recommend this fridge and are very pleased we purchased it!

We love most everything about the refrigerator. 1 con is you do not have but one option for moving shelves around in the fridge part, could not put the pitcher I have in it and now I have a huge section and a very tiny one that barely anything fits in. I do love the craft ice option. It is summer need to hydrate. Though the other day an issue occured where there was water in the bin and the ice was not making, could have been operator error on that one and did figure it out myself. The knock feature is super awesome!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We just opened the box to our new fridge and the water dispenser is stuck on cubed ice. It won’t change to water or crushed ice. Sensor must be bad. Can’t get anyone from LG to help. Been a frustrating mess!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned my LG side by side for about two months now. I love a lot of the features with this fridge. Side by side feature….deep shelves…great consistent cooling on both sides….door in door feature for those frequently used fridge items….ice/water dispenser….smudge proof outside finish….very quiet….energy efficient. A feature that I really like that was not a buying point for me is Craft Ice. I use it more than I thought I would. Only drawback for me at this point in ownership is there are no baskets for food in the freezer. It would be very helpful to able to pull out a basket of some food rather than a loose pile of frozen food. Overall pleased with my purchase. A good price for a excellent appliance. Set up was right on time, done professionally, and old fridge hauled away.

The shelving is large too along with the various compartments. I’m able to organize everything so well. Love the ice cube makers - the craft ice is fun too!!! The design is modern and sleek - the stainless is so pretty and keeps clean!!! Love the lighted door so I can quickly see inside! So happy with my new refrigerator!!!

Love the refrigerator with the freezer on one side and edge to edge Instaview for easy view inside with out opening the door. This refrigerator makes my house look even more modern. Especially when I serving more then one guess and need extra ice with the dual ice maker with craft ice give plenty and plus the draft round ice makes it look really cool.

I bought this to replace previous French Door that had ice maker that stopped working properly after first year. Main objective was to not have indoor icemaker that was housed in refrigerator section. I thought I would have to give up in door water and ice, then I saw this side by side that at first glance looks like a four door. Knock twice on the glass panel of the refrigerated side and see what is inside. No electronics to worry about. Looks very GI tech. Has ice maker in the four of the freezer - but wait- it also has an ice maker in the freezer that makes craft ice. Big round balls of ice. Fun feature. So far so good.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The LG refrigerator is fine, but the installation/installers were a disaster. So much confusion, that it took 4 sets of 2 people/ 4 visits for the installation problem to be done, and at this time the water problem still isn't fixed.

After only one year old and the ice craft ice maker went out. Fortunately LG did send me a new and replaced it very quickly. They also said they would give me two new filters but they never arrived. Afterwards I went online and found out the craft ice maker is a common problem.
