Print proof is awesome

We had this refrigerator for a few weeks and it works well. Keeps the food cold and ice maker works well for me and my husband. The craft ice is a fun option and serves as back up ice if we use up the ice in the door. Best thing is the Print proof finish on the doors. Prints just wipe off with a soft cloth. And if you train yourself to just use the handles, you’ll never see a fingerprint. If I were to change anything I would add pull out shelves since they are deep and an option to have the water in the dispenser run automatically without holding the glass or pitcher If you have a high ice demand I would forego the craft ice for a larger ice maker.

Not what I expected for what we paid.

We bought this refrigerator in December 2022, six months ago. Our craft ice-maker has been out of service for a month I called for repair roughly 21/2 weeks ago. The icemaker was replaced. The very next day my door dispenser water was frozen. My craft & inn door ice-makers are not working, everything in my refrigerator is frozen. I had to throw away at least $200 worth of food and drinks. I am now waiting on a new board for the refrigerator which should be installed soon. I bought a refrigerator to eliminate stress and have something nice for the house so far I can’t say I am happy.

Great replacement for my 25yr old frig

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this not quite a month. The ice machine is doing great. The quality round ice machine is doing just great. This is a larger frig than my other. I have room in the doors for all my condiments which leave me more room in the frig to put left overs and other containers. I am getting used to the see through door. I also make other things like pickles and pickled onions that fit in it just fine. This is a great frig.

Worst product EVER!!!

Of all the refrigerators I have owned and used in my life, this one is the absolute worst! I’ve never required more service calls on a refrigerator in my entire life. Between both ice makers breaking down in under two years and being told by service mechanics that LG manufactured improperly tested and knowingly faulty products and sold them to customers is despicable! On top of that, the requirement to UNPLUG the product to reset it is most difficult for a disabled veteran or any customer with physical limitations. LG manufacturers computers with on/off switches yet they put a computer in a refrigerator and force customers to deal with their negligence. WHAT A HORRIBLE DECISION! I’ve had refrigerators 20 plus years that function perfectly without any issues. I still have a refrigerator over 24 years old that works perfectly in my garage. Needless to say, I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER LG PRODUCT FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE! Nor will I ever recommend a LG product to anyone, ever!

Keep looking for another brand!

It's a refridgerator. The "window in the door" is an absolutely useless feature, all it does is gather fingerprints and entertain the grandchildren when they tap on it to make the inside light up. If you put anyting on the shelves on the door, which obviously you're going to, you can't see past that stuff anyway. I didn't buy the fridge for that feature, but wouldn't recommend it if I had. The ice maker on the door quit working about 2 months in, and the hassle we had to go through in order to schedule a technician guaranteed that I will NEVER purchase another LG appliance ever again.

Great purchase!

We did several weeks of research. This unit has two icemakers. One of them does not require you to open the door it dispenses crushed ice, hole cubes and cold water. The ice cubes are on the small side but I don’t find it to be a problem, there’s plenty of room in the fridge and the freezer as the ice machine is in the door. The craft ice option is so cool! There are no handles on the exterior as the doors are completely flush with the unit. that saves a lot of space in a small area. We absolutely love it so far!

Nice refrigerator except…..

We love our LG refrigerator. It looks nice, keeps food cold and fresh and love the see through door. Unfortunately one of the reasons we bought this model was for the craft icemaker and we have had issues with it. It worked fine for about 4 months but since then it has not ejected the ice balls properly and then it attempts to refill the molds and water ends up spilling into the ice tray and freezing. We are having the refrigerator serviced next week and hopefully that will fix the issue.

The side-by-side was intriguing as we were replacing a French door style. One of our concerns was if the freezer would hold a frozen pizza-and it does! The roominess on both sides have been optimal. The transparent door really makes one “keep it neat “ and we have a really good looking interior, if I say so myself! We have been very pleased with the standard ice and the craft ice, kinda fancy!! We would certainly recommend this fridge and are very pleased we purchased it!
