I didn’t want to cut out much food so decided to try a weight loss food. I was able to try a sample of Purina Beneful Healthy Weight with Farm Raised Chicken Adult Dog Food and after a few days of mixing it in with her other food (Freshpet), she started eating this on its own. I wasn’t sure she would like crunchy food because she doesn’t eat my other dogs hard food. But she did seem to take to this one so it’s a win-win. The price is affordable and if my dog likes it with no tummy issues and can lose a few pounds in the process I’m all for it!! I received this product for free for the purpose of my review. There are no artificial preservatives, flavors, or colors. I like all the vitamins and protein per serving. I would definitely recommend this to try.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After my divorce we moved into a small rental house with a small yard and my golden doodle didn’t have as much room to play so he gained weight and needed to go on a diet. I switched him from the regular Beneful to the Healthy Weight and he’s lost 10lb and we’ve been playing more ball in the yard. He’s happier and so am I and most importantly so is the vet!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had my dog on anither of dog food that was for weight management and they discontinued making it so it was suggested to try the beneful healthy weight and I wasn't sure my dog would like it. Did the usual when introducing a new food and when my dog smelled the foods mixed he wasn't sure about it. Got him to eat it and did the usual reducing of the old for the new food and that went wonderfully. No issues with the food and my dog has even lost a few pounds since being on it fully.

We can tell the difference and the dog can taste the difference! Past couple months we have been on a budget and bought dog food that was cheaper! Our dog princess gained a few pounds that's for sure and she absolutely hated the cheaper brands we bought. Kinda funny when she saw me bring in the bag of beniful healthy weight she got excited either she can read or she smelled her favorite food!

Please read past "chicken". The first three ingredients should be animal based proteins. Every ingredient between "chicken" and "minerals" is a filler. Pet food ingredients are listed in order of weight BEFORE cooking. Chicken is 75% water before cooking. That means this kibble as VERY little quality meat based proteins. Whole grain corn is the third ingredient. The number one major reason dogs are itchy or have digestive problems is generally grains. If you cut out grains, you will likely have a healthier dog. My dog didn't do well on this food for all these reasons. Switched to something better.
