Most toothpaste and rinse products work to remove the stains on the surface of the teeth, or extrinsic stains. However, stains can also get trapped below the enamel surface. These are called intrinsic stains. The peroxide in our Crest Whitestrips products travels through enamel to bleach these stains. The result is a more dramatic color change of the tooth than you would expect to get from using a whitening toothpaste or rinse. If you have intrinsic staining, give our 3D Whitestrips a try.
