TurboTax put a figure onto a wrong like and increased my supposed income by about $12,000. So, I had to go through last year's copy to see where the mistake was. I found it. Whew. Also, when looking at e-filing, I saw something that looked like they would charge me $40. to take the $25 fee for e-filing from my refund. What was that? I opted to pay with a credit card as I did last year. Kind of confused me. From $25 to $40? What's that?

I have been using Turbo Tax for many many years and this year was worst experience. There were constant advertising boxes coming up. Also I had the Deluxe Version and there were glitches at time causing me to have to go to form version. I am so disappointed in Turbo Tax.

Clunky Used for first time last year. Hardly had any questions. This year I had to ponder, look up several questions due to lack of explanations. Fortunately, my previous experience with Kiplinger's/HR Block made my quest for info easier. Help from the TurboTax was not user friendly.

And again, Turbo Tax performs excellent! I have used Turbo Tax since its very early years (guessing - for the last 30+ years at least). Turbo Tax has always and continues this year (2024) to walk me through all of the complexities of getting my taxes calculated/paid and any refund into my account as quickly as possible! I will continue to use and recommend Turbo Tax to friends and family!!!!

You would have had 5 stars but I was less than pleased that I kept getting pressured to efile state for additional $20. There was no option to set it for mailing and when I printed form for mailing the cover page would not show address of NJ Division of Taxation to mail the return.

The software is pretty good. I only fault it on Form 1116 for the foreign tax credit, which is admittedly complicated. The instructions would benefit from further clarification. There are a couple of instances where the screen display is larger than my laptop screen so that the "continue" button is not visible. That is just poor programming.

I have used Turbo Tax for more than fifteen years and will probably continue to use Turbo Tax. However, Turbo Tax makes it very difficult to find an answer to simple questions. There does not seem to be an "advice nurse" available. One must go directly to a Tax professional without passing go and frequently having to pay for the service. It would be useful to have something between FAQ's and paid preparer.

I love TurboTax and have used it for years to file my taxes. It would be great if during the final tax review, it could identify a blank entry in the IPP Pin field. I've never had this code sent me by IRS and so I must go online to find tthe current year IP Pin number that I need to file my e-tax returns. A flag on this TurboTax field to tell me that If I intend to e-file, please add the your Personal IPP Pin number to the appropiate filing form.would be perfect.

The federal form filing was great! But the state tax repeatedly was rejected. I ended up just sending in via paper format. In the scheme of things it's a trivial amount, but expect I was scammed $25 by TurboTax to file the state return, which ultimately didn't work.

I like that if used year after year when used you can import files to make the process easier. There were several issues with certain sections never presenting (such as city taxes) or not updating correctly, which if we didn't remember from previous years could have caused some serious issues. For our family to prepare and file our taxes it took about 2 hours. The hassle of certain sections not loading makes me second think about continuing to use TurboTax.
