Not very happy with the price of Turbo Tax and then getting charged to file and for tax advice. I have been using turbo tax for over 20 year and may use another method next year to file my taxes. I am also not receiving the Fidelity 20% discount I was offered.

I'VE COMPLETED MY TAX RETURNS USING TURBOTAX FOR MANY YEARS. I LOVE BEING ABLE TO DO THEM MYSELF TO MAKE SURE I UNDERSTAND WHAT IS EXPECTED. I FOUND THE TOOL TO BE EASY TO FOLLOW. I HAVE NOTICED IN RECENT YEARS THAT I'M HAVING TO COMPLETE MORE FORMS, ESPECIALLY THIS YEAR AND I AM NOW GETTING TO THE POINT OF TURNING THIS TASK OVER TO SOMEONE ELSE AND PAY THEM TO COMPLETE MY TAXES.

Although the desktop version of Turbo Tax is quite impressive, there were multiple challenges faced while trying to print my documents. An EXHAUSTIVE troubleshooting was completed of my printer hardware, drivers and ink cartridges that revealed nothing was wrong with my printer. I was able to send my pdf files to another computer & printer in my home and have it printed, even though my first attempt to do that was unsuccessful too. To have the problem with 2 printers tells me it was probably a software problem. I saw online that MANY people experienced similar problems printing including but no limited to: just blank pages printed; forms print with no data in any boxes, different color ink (green), print was very hard to see and lines missing on some forms, and others. I even had to go to irs.gov and download and complete a form they had and then I printed it to go with my return. A fix I found on line advised to use the "Print as an Image" on the print screen that worked, but the print was missing in some parts and was faded. Doing taxes is always a nerve-racking task, but to not be able to print out the returns I needed for filing (I must to file by mail for federal) was a horrible experience that occupied my time for multiple days. This was my first time using Turbo Tax so I've got to give it a 3. Please don't assume that it was user error or my printer because the printer was able to print other non Turbo Tax pdfs and docs. I have a PC that runs Windows 11, which I researched too to see if there were problems with that. All efforts were made and I was lucky that we have two printers in my home.

After trying to e file about 10 times, I gave up and mailed. Could not get past spouses AGI from our jointly file last year, or her pin. I have used turbotax for more than twenty years, but this will be the last. No helpful info to get filed due to the above reason.

I reported a glitch in the TT federal tax software last year, and it recurred this year. My State residency is Virginia, and I had rental income in DC. No taxes were withheld by DC. TT however, suggested completing a DC tax return, which I presumed was for paying DC taxes. So, I downloaded the DC TT software, using up my one free State software. Once installed, TT had me complete a form for DC tax refund. This is incorrect as I had no tax withheld by DC and no such data entry was made..

I've been using TurboTax for years. For my financial situation, it is relatively straightforward and considerable cheaper than other alternatives. I've never been audited. I had two areas that were somewhat confusing this year: 1. My brokerage showed capital gains when I didn't sell anything, but they weren't taxed. 2. My brokerage sent a summary form without box numbers for 1099-B so I had to match the numbers with the TurboTax box numbers. I think I did it correctly but TurboTax could possibly have had more explanation of what this form was for.

I have used Turbo Tax for many years and I have always been pleased with the experience. The prompts are easy to follow and, I feel every deduction I am due is covered. Questions are sufficiently answered, and I understand the tax code. I have recommended Turbo Tax to friends and family because it makes a painful process easier to handle

Pretty easy to use. It is especially useful that you can switch from the step-by-step guided mode to looking at the actual forms. Invariably I have to tweak a form or two. The 1099 import facility works well and saves a ton of error prone work. Filling Foreign Tax Credit forms has gotten much easier over the years and is now painless.

Have been using since 2006. It works well for our situation, and I find it reliable and trustworthy. I like using the downloaded and installed file best, but have also used the online/cloud version. Transferring info from previous year helps to speed the process. E-Filing works great.

TurboTax Deluxe worked quite well for my needs which included investments and deductions. However, there were some minor issues. It was advising me to upgrade to Premier which was not needed. I felt like it could have been more proactive on flagging that I had missed some income based on what I had from my 2023 return - which I caught on my own. I was also considering the annual renewal, but when I went to do that, it looked like the price was much higher than I paid for this year's software. They mention a $10 discount for renewing, but ti wasn't at all clear if that was included in the shown price, or would still be deducted, but I decided it was not worth it. But I do plan on using TurboTax again next year.
