Horrible experience with the activation and limited installs. For some reason I need to reactivate TurboTax after Window update. As a result I've used up all 5 activation on the same PC. The user should be able to request reset of their activations without needing to call for support.

The 2 stars are for helping me get all the information entered & imported, and for facilitating efile for Federal and State. You don't get the other 3 stars because the help within the application and on the website were absolutely useless for questions about forms, particularly the Schedule C for which we had a couple of 1099-NEC forms to file. You also don't get more stars because the upselling for add-ons is obnoxious. I was angry that I had to scour your competitors' sites and other free online resources to get help with how to complete the Schedule C regarding job specifics and codes re: our 1099-NECs. I should get better for the price I paid. Also, why in 2025 is this software and the online version 2 different things?

I found the program more challenging this time; on a few questions, I had to revisit because I thought my info was automatically being added. Plus when I tried to electronically file my State taxes, I was being charged an additional $45; I think it was for the defense, in which I was not ordering.

When downloading the files from my investment firm, doubling files were downloaded causing errors in the tax amount, and also one error in the data, compared to my printouts direct from my investment firm. Luckily, I spotted all the errors. I also had to manually sum up the foreign country dividends corresponding to the tax I paid. (This information is available in the files transmitted.) There were several items I had to manually edit in the forms during final "review." Those should have been clarified during the initial data review.

Relatively easy to understand the software's Q&A approach and to use it. It would be helpful if the "Next Page" buttons weren't always at the bottom of the page requiring extensive cursor movement just to advance. Also, as you complete each part of a section, it always takes you back to the top of the section you just finished, requiring scrolling down further and further as you progress. These are MINOR deficiencies and they haven't kept me from re-purchasing the product for years of use.

Not as easy to use as previous CD based edition. Download procedure was not intuitive. Could not tell when various download stages were complete. User was often left wondering during processing delays as to what is supposed to be happening, how long something might take to download and how many more steps might be involved in the process.

Unable to print tax returns directly from TurboTax Deluxe for Mac. Not a printer/network issue, everyone else prints fine. After trying to print repeatedly, the workaround is saving to PDF, then printing from PDF. Looking at Intuit forums this seems to be a common problem.

I've been using TurboTax for a long time (since the 90s) and will continue to do so. However, it is seeming that the questions posed in some cases are very confusing and not as easily understood by laymen. I know the tax codes are getting more and more difficult, but we use this product to help cut down on the jargon used from the tax code. It would be great to see the guidance through dealing with tax filing simplified for everyone. Like it used to be.

Last year was the first time I have ever done my taxes on my own. I learned so much, and this year doing the taxes became so easy, especially with all the Turbo Tax questions and comments. You guided me thru the whole process and made it totally simple. Thank you, Turbo Tax. Nina

It gets more and more difficult to answer all the questions in this program and I don't find it easy any longer. There are questions that don't apply to our elderly status and they are totally confusing. I get really frustrated in the sections that don't apply. And the cost of the software keeps going up and up.
