The one thing I really, really need is to be able to calculate my estimated tax payments based upon the previous tax year. As I foresee changes to my tax situation, I need to be able to make the corresponding changes to the previous tax year to be able to calculate how that will change my estimated tax payments fo h current year. It may well be possible, but it is nigh on impossible to figure out how to do it. As well, even if nothing has changed I should be able to quickly find the 1040-ES at any time so as to be able to pay my estimated tax without having saved the forms themselves. That is why I have this "great" software, isn't it?

I originally tried to file my tax return on my phone and there was a glitch, and now I have been struggling for the past 2 months and continue to have issues. I've spent hours in front of the computer (I received a license for turbo tax deluxe) looking up different reasons why the platform is responding the way that it is and how to work around it. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars is because the gentleman that helped me get turbo deluxe was the only reason I've gotten as close as I have to figuring out how to fix the problem concerning getting my return.

You need to make claiming foreign taxes (on my dividends) as a tax credit easier. Every year I am pulling my hair out trying to figure out how to do it. Why can't TurboTax deal with this issue automatically by asking whatever it needs to know to do so at the time I enter an mount for foreign taxes from my broker statements??

I had very much help from two of your live agents. They were very helpful in getting me through the process of completing my taxes. Most of my problems were about navigating through the technical portion of your program which is very confusing at times.

Turbotax has annoying features that the company doesn't fix. 1) You should be able to opt out of auto update and 2) having duplicate EIN numbers for W2s sometimes happens (home care to both parents) but shows up as an error that prevents e-filing. Reported these LAST YEAR but no fix!

Not possible for me to find out how to change with holding vouchers for 2026 no matter what I did. Articles I found did not work mostly because they still refer to using "jump to" which no longer exists. I cannot, for example, search for or jump to 1040-ES.

Didn't catch the error of me incorrectly checking boxes for ss income as that I lived outside the country. Funny that the IRS caught that error and TT didn't. My mistake but come on, my original info. indicated that I only lived in the USA, not some other country, ever. I would have thought that TT would have had a qualifying question regarding that issue as it greatly affected my return, instead of getting over $9000 back, I got less than $1600 because I did have to pay taxes on 85% of my SS income. Greatly disappointed in TT this year, this little error of inadvertently checking those boxes as yes instead of no has caused me many many hours of extra work to pursue it with the IRS in getting a transcript and copy of the corrected return to figure out why such a difference in my refund amount. A simple mistake that could have been avoided by TT asking are you sure you lived outside the USA as this is highly unusual, or something similar. Disappointed in TT.

The interview process is unreliable; e.g., we had to check many times to see if what we had entered in the interview actually held, because after we had saved and closed Turbo and then returned to it we found many times that we had to repeat our entries. There were other inconsistencies, such as: 1) Turbo asking us for in-put on a (mystery) Canadian retirement plan which we not indicated we had; and one of the tax summaries having data which was inconsistent with the correct data. We wonder if Turbo had gone over board with AI; and was getting back hallucinations.

This was the most bug-ridden version of TTAX I have ever seen. Every time I opened it, it used another activation. Several screens were completely blank, and the investment module seemed to not have been loaded at all. I finally uninstalled and loaded a new clean version (at the cost of another activation) and struggled for 2 more days trying to get it to handle an HSA issue. Looking online, it's apparent there are number of known issues.

Software started to endlessly loop during the State return. Also, it failed to transmit electronically (error 2). I searched the internet and tried to fix the problem by adjusting my own security settings but nothing worked. So I had to print everything.
