It always works really well. Use it every year. Problem i have this year is the direct deposit requirement. It did not tell\force me that it required banking information now. i always just got a printed check. I got a notice last week from IRS i have 30 days to update my direct deposit info. UGH. I created an ID.ME account, its taken a week and they still have not approved it. i am stuck. I am in the hopper but had i know i would have made sure to put the banking info in ahead of time.

I had trouble due to the estimated tax payments from 2024 being carried forward to the 2025 return an I did not catch it until after 2025 was filed. I had to file amended returns for both the Fed and State. Also the 1040-V had $427 printed when the amount due was $900 after the estimated tax payment was corrected.

The font of turbo tax is too small / light. Should be a bolded font and larger. instructions for reporting foreign tax paid, dividends, interest and foreign income is weak and non helpful. Suggest automatic handling of fidelity downloads for foreign income and taxes paid.

Your user interface has gone from very good to almost unusable. Unless you go back to somethng more like the old user interface, I will not procure Turbotax for next year. Your changes added a huge amount of frustration and days of unnecessary repetitive work. I finally resorted to using forms, I can only hope I got it right. I have used TurboTax for the past 20 years (maybe longer) and in one year, you destroyed the trust I had in you.

I have been using Turbo Tax sense it came out on the market place, after that I did my own taxes instead of having to pay someone else to do them. Used them while single, and now while married. My husband doesn't like to use computers and isn't good at using them so for many years I have done them.

I have used turbo tax every year for 10 years without any problems, THIS YEAR it didn't submit my taxes altho it said it did. It needed an "update" before it did. But I wasn't notified. I thought it odd that I didn't get update notices, but got busy until I checked my bank account for the withdrawal and it wasn't there. Now I'm late. Changing tax formats now.

it was easy and quick - I was able to get help while working on my taxes if i needed. this is my 15th year using turbo tax and i love it. easy enough for the beginning because it guides you through the process with ease. if guidance is needed it is quickly available.

I have used TurboTax Desktop for many years and have always found it to be excellent--5 stars. This year was different. One of my 1099-Rs had an amount in box 2a that was less than the amount in box 2. The lesser amount was also included in box 16 (State distribution). This form is no different than all past forms since I have been retired and yet Turbo Tax would not accept this number as correct and kept calling it an error. I tried to correct this supposed error multiple times but still kept getting an error notice for the amount listed in box 2a. I finally just ignored the error notice and submitted my return with the correct numbers from my 1099-R.

I didn't enjoy working with TurboTax this year and will likely not purchase it again next year. So many things that usually worked were no longer working this year. The software didn't explain certain things I need clarification on and I kept getting stuck on an error at the end.
