I have used Intuit/TurboTax for a number of years now. I love the software except for one thing: no ability to zoom in or zoom out! The font is too small already, then I'm not able to zoom in! For many of us in the older generation, being able to zoom in is imperative!

Until this year, I LOVED TurboTax. It was easy to navigate, and instructions were clear. This year's version is so bad that I am fairly certain I will cancel my enrollment. I am forced to mail my state return, as Turbo Tax is trying to force me to enroll in Audit Defense, even though I declined and removed the form from my federal taxes. The many offers to upgrade or do online or do things I don't want to do are wasting my time. The system is glitchy, and I had to seek help to solve a number of problems. I've wasted more time than I wish to disclose.

The multi-state filing process needs to be simplified for gambling winnings. It is common to live in one state and have gambling winnings from another, non-reciprocal state. Currently, you have to do the non-resident state first. That forces you to buy your resident state. Even then, Turbo Tax is not recognizing both states the way it should. My case is Illinois and Indiana. The Schedule CR is not being created for Taxes Paid to Another State. I have to manually make them coordinate. That reduces the integrity of the Turbo Tax product guarantee. The price keeps going up but the product integrity is not keeping pace. Turbo Tax is still my preferred, but there is stiff competition available and cheaper.

Tells you can E File 5 I only use 3 and 1 was rejected when I did my last one said I reach my limits of 5 so I guess now they count even the number of rejections. I you try again takes 1 and again counts as 1. Never had happen before i will stay away from Trubo Tax after 20 plus years.

In our first small business (nearly 30 years ago) we used an accountant who charged us $2,000 to file taxes. For grins, I purchased Turbotax for $80 to see how 'close' I could get. I matched it to the penny. Needless to say, that was the last time we used an accountant :)

Lost most of my information sometime after a save. Re-entered it. Things that used to be included in the version I bought now require an upgrade for more $$$$$. Can't remember bank account information between Federal and State Versions. Buggy imports from my financial institutions required manually reviewing and correcting line after line. Never prompted me for my IP PIN even though I have used one for years with Turbo Tax.

Problems with this year's TurboTax. Would not load previous year's filings and would not open saved 2025 file that was in process. Had to delete and reinstall. Lost hours trying to make TurboTax function and re-entering the information. VERY FRUSTRATING.

Change in interface for 2025 did not seem to help make the product any easier to use. It was just a new way to do the same things as before and required some learning by long-time users. BIGGEST COMPLAINT: Too many input boxes do not allow for adding supporting calculations. That function should be more widely available throughout the program. And those boxes that do allow supporting calculations seem to open the calculation box in different ways--menu selection, right click, double click. Some consistency in that would be appreciated.

Initially I tried the online version. It was so confusing that I went back to the download version. I paid 80 and it worked great. Please do not discontinue the download version. It seems you're pushing people towards the online, and its questions are vague and if you click one thing wrong you have to search back, back, back. I spent 3 hours on it. It took me less than an hour after downloading to my computer. I give the download version 5 stars. The online version zero.

The right mouse key does not bring up the "paste" menu. You should incorporate normal windows functions into your program. To paste a value into a turbo tax entry I have to use CTRL V on the keyboard. Very old school and makes your program appear clunky.
