addendum:I sent my taxes through, then got ANOTHER text saying they were rejected! WHY?? your review before transmitting them said everything was ok! Clearly not! and when I tried to correct it, I was guessing, because you weren't telling me what to correct! Stop sign in red, but no yellow boxes on the forms to fill in, no red ! next to a form! ARRGGG! You are really making me hate Turbo Tax ! I did my taxes, but when preparing to file, the walk through had me remove some info from my state tax form, I forget the details but think it was my bank info for my return. That made no sense to me. I received a text later saying both Fed & state forms were rejected, but the text had no identifier from TT or Intuit. No email, no notification in my TT account. I called & spoke to Kwadwo, he was very helpful. We tried the screen share but it didn't work, we finally figured out what I needed to correct on my forms, it was under the 'form' tab, but there was no indication I should have looked there! Sheesh! Turbo Tax is not very user friendly in that regard for the 2025 returns, I hope you can fix it for this year!

There is quite a mess with 5 digits TurboTax PIN code. If you don't enter it then IRS rejects tax return with the error "IND-666-02 - If the Spouse SSN appears more than once in the e-File database, then 'PINTypeCd' must not have the value "Self-Select On-Line".". It actually caused tons of problems for me, a lot of back & force with IRS in order to figure out if there was any identity theft etc. The problem was that TurboTax online version doesn't allow to enter TurboTax 5 digits protection PIN (or at least I couldn't find where it's possible), which causes invalid headers in the tax return and the rejection from IRS.

As I've come to unfortunately expect every... single... year, TurboTax once again contains software issues that have existed for a number of years. So very disappointed, but I guess it's my fault for expecting TurboTax to actually fully test and fix their software.

Are you looking for constant upsell attempts? A new improved way of importing financial data that doesn't work at all? Or if it does, gives Intuit access to all your data to sell? Look know further than this absolute steaming pile of crap! We've used this program since 2005. We will be going elsewhere next year.

The printing & saving of the state return was not very easy and required me to jump thru hoops to figure out how to do it since I wanted to mail the state return. you have everything focused on e-filing the state. It needs to get easier or I will need to use other options.

I love TurboTax but encountered a few problems this year. First, since I still have a Windows 10 computer, I was unable to download this year's program. Fortunately I could go to my Mac; however it was unable to retrieve info from a previous return produced on my PC. Second problem: Computer locked up before I had saved my return, and I lost and had to re-enter the info. Third problem: TurboTax offered to take my state filing fee from my federal refund. Only at the last screen did I find out that it was going to cost me $40 to process the $20 fee. So, I checked online and found out there was no fee if I paid with a credit card. That meant going back and changing the payment option. Why didn't it tell me this before I got so far along? That feels sneaky. That last issue is why I didn't give 5 stars. Do better, my friends!

I have used Turbo Tax Desktop on MAC for at least 13 years. This year's version is the one of the worst experiences I've ever had with software in my life. I tried paying the $25 fee for filing Arizona online and the program failed at that point. I did get great help from the support number, but we were still not able to resolve the issue and I had to end up paying the additional $40 fee for having it deducted from my return. I may try the free web version next year, but will never pay to use Turbo Tax again.

Eileen, the tax expert I worked with, was knowledgeable, professional and thorough. She quickly resolved the issue I experienced. It was a question about reporting RMD distribution requirements. She was able to give me the answer that allowed me to complete my return. I highly recommend Eileen as a valuable asset to TurboTax.

Interface and topic helps were awful and impossible to navigate. Program's help functions were useless. I sought phone help and two different women tried to help me figure out how to enter 1099-PATR information. First woman admitted defeat after 1.5 hours. We also could not get Intuit Meeting to work. The second woman finally figured out how to enter the info after 2 hours, but then we could not get Intuit Meeting to work either. I have used Turbo Tax for decades and navigating was intuitive, but no more. This was my worst experience. An extremely frustrated user of TurboTax Deluse.

It was going well but some of the questions I didn't really know how to answer but after doing some google searching, I was able to get it done. The Turbo tax deluxe (computer app not online) is the cheapest option for a tax return. P.S. I didn't use the specialist that cost extra.
