Errors w no fix

I have used Turbo Tax for many years and this has been by far the worse. Bugs go unfixed and error appear with no direction on how to fix. It is not something I would recommend to anyone. I am a CPA so I know the forms and know they are correctly filled but cannot imagine an average person relying on it with blatant bugs and errors that could lead to audit. I suspect these bugs go unfixed so audits occur and TurboTax can sell audit protection. Pretty pathetic. Not sure I will be using it next year.

Turbo Tax is still a great tool to get taxes DONE.

I'm only annoyed/upset with the estimated state taxes NOT being listed when doing the state return. I hunted thru the state forms several times, then went back to the federal forms looking to see if it was entered there, which I finally saw that it was. I'd appreciate having the estimated state tax field and number shown so it' be a reminder and check that it was done already. Sometimes there isn't time to go end-to-end in getting the federal & state taxes done in a single session. Thank you.

ItsDeductible gone but still in Tax Return Records

I was surprised and very disappointed to discover the ItsDeductible functionality was removed from TurboTax 2025! I fell I got less value for my money since you removed this functionality. Even worse, the Individual Tax Return Records prints a blank ItsDeductible table for every charity, with all the cells empty since there is no ItsDeductible data! That seems like sloppy programming to me. If you are going to remove the functionality from the software, you should should remove it from the reporting.

program failed to electronically transmit proper

I filed electronically using PIN numbers I retrieved from the proper website, and the return was rejected. I also paid to file NJ taxes electronically but never got any word of whether the state return was accepted or not. So that was a waste of money. I tried refiling the federal form, but the ire never received it. So now I have to print the form to mail it, and nowhere do I find instructions what papers need to be mailed with the forms. I've used TurboTax for years, but this is the last year I will do so.

Tedious

Every year it keeps making the same incorrect assumptions and lead me astray in the interview process. It's much better than doing taxes by hand, but it's so tedious to run into the same problems each year. It's also asking a lot of the same questions repeatedly... Stop asking if I want TurboTax State for NH, for example.

Need more guidance about certain things

We have always needed more information about the PSO benefits, as we are BOTH retired federal peace officers who should be eligible for the 3,000 deduction, but we cannot tell if we only receive one deduction , or both, and there's no guidance regarding this issue. In the past when i looked it up it appeared we could both take the deduction if we both met all the criteria regarding health insurance costs, but there is no turbotax guidance on this matter. And, need guidance on how to figure out of the PSO is given and how to calculate it to determine that. Although thank you for making the program easier to enter this information about the PSO and that we no longer have to re-enter it over and over each time you come back to it, or when you go out of that area than back in and out, having to re-enter it every time..

No It's Deductible

I have used TurboTax for over 10 years and have always given it a 5 star review. This year I was very disappointed that It's deductible was not included. I have used it extensively in the past and it saved a lot of time. What was provided with the program this year I found to be cumbersome and unusable.

Turbo Tax 2025

I have used Turbo Tax every year and it is always very easy. I really like that you now can gather all my tax forms from my financial institutions! Can you please add a step where you can show the tax form with the standard deductions so we don't have to bother collecting and entering detailed line items for deductions? That would be outstanding!!!

Still Excellent, but I prefer the older versions

I still like TT a lot, and have never had a problem, but some of the recent style or format changes over the past three or four years have made it a less user-friendly program, IMO. I like the way it walked you through the steps about 4 - 5 years ago, vs. the way it does it now, where one has to choose what to work on next. What If I don't know what kind of income a particular document represents? In the TT of a few years ago, it seems like TT guided me through this without me having to select a bubble on a chart to take me there.

Generally good, deficient for education expenses.

Generally good product that simplifies complex tax issues when often required. Deficient though in allowing inputs for higher education expenses as needed for tax-advantaged education savings accounts and other credits. Quite buggy. Impossible to override errors and enter necessary values.
