I've been preparing my own return for more than fifty years. Before we had TurboTax, I used the old "stubby pencil" method. TurboTax makes it so easy and reduces the risk of human error. I've been audited three times and represented myself in the audits. There is no reason to fear the IRS if you've been honest on your return.

The newest version (2024 Tax Year) is unbelievably frustrating to use. I have been a TurboTax user for over 30 years and this 2024 tax filing was the most disappointing to use. Numerous times I was not able to reach the program as I was doing my taxes over a couple of week time period. Also, I was not able to print my returns after numerous attempts. Not sure what they did to the program, but it sure made it difficult to prepare and file my taxes this time.

Don't like the new version. I like the previous versions. It seems in attempting to make it easier to use you made it more time consuming. I would like to be able to go back to exactly where I left off when starting the program instead of having to go back to the start of the section again. Please stop pushing to use your "cloud". I want access to my application if Internet is down.

Have used Turbo Tax for years with no problems. This year I completed a return for my Grandson and E-Filed the federal portion. Then I lost the file due to a computer glitch, so I redid the return and tried to E-File the state portion and the system wouldn't let me do it. It said I had to E-file the federal portion first, which was already done. The status check recognized that Federal was already E-filed, but it would not let me E-File the state. This part of the system needs some work!

Have used Turbo Tax for years and have had no problems with it until this year. I got to a point where it just hung up and would not go further. Had to back the most recent entry out. Called TT Tech support and work with them for about 2 hours. Could not find anything wrong. Eventually I was able to get the data entered and move on. TT staff did a good job of helping

Turbo Tax has an archaic feeling. 1. It will not save into a directory I created. I had to save into desktop to make it work. 2. Each time I check for a program update, it will waste time saving the returns at least three times Come on, these problems have been going on for a few years now

Product is overpriced. Company spends MILLIONS every year lobbying our government to prevent the creation of free, easier-to-use alternatives. Payment at the very end NEVER works: every year I have to spend an hour googling for the same stupid hack because they can't get their basic payment system working.

I have been using TurboTax for more than 25 years. Never had a significant issue. This year was a disappointment. I spent several hours repeatedly reloading the install download before the program could be used. I spent another three days trying to figure out how to register a deduction for a Virginia 529 plan. I finally found the answer on Google. TurboTax instructions on these issues were unhelpful.

I have always been amazed at the depth of information that is available to operate this product succcessfully! However, with the increase in the number of IRS agents last year, I was still held back from my refund while I faxed a number of copies of my input forms and SS statements to Texas for review. I hope this does not occur this time.

TurboTax is a great program. Would give 5 stars if it wasn't for issues with paying EFile fee. There is nowhere that states that you cannot have ANY punctuation in your name, address or zip or else the credit card won't go through. I had to research and found the answer on Google
