I got a little frustrated when Turbo Tax kept showing a conversion from a 403b to a traditional IRA as income. I had a friend who is a retired CPA glance at it and he went straight to the return was not showing it as income and I was good to go, but I was a little frustrated that it was showing up as income on the Turbo Tax platform.

TurboTax has always served me well. Used it over 20 years without a single problem. The instructions are clear and the step-by-step method means you do not miss anything you need to claim or report. There has never been an error by TurboTax - though I have made one or two by neglecting to report income. TulrboTax made it easy to fie an amended return to correct the error.

I have used TurboTax for years and used to love the software. This year was an unbelievable pain in the neck. From trying to install the product to actually using it, it was a terrible experience. I will probably never buy TurboTax again, and will, instead, opt for H&R Block software, or pay someone to do my taxes for me and my family.

The product was good. My only big complaint was that it kept asking to reactivate it. I had to spend a lot of time online researching things and then finally realizing that it depended on whether I had plugged my USB mouse in or not. That was stress and time I didn't need to spend.

Getting worse each year... stop the sales pitching and do the work to make taxes easier by giving more options like filing jointly is worse that filing married separately or carrying student as dependent is not wise let them carry themselves for Opportunity Credit. Stop using AI and use plain old human brain power.

It is much harder to use than in the past. I use the forms mostly and fill them in myself, and there is no way to open an new blank copy of a form once one has been opened and filled out. I had to go to the easy method to be able to make a duplicate form. Also once a form is completed and reviewed it should be marked as checked instead of leaving it as update.review.

Turbo Tax is easy to use and walks you through filling out your forms with questions. I like that I can also always go to the actual tax forms to make any changes needed or to check the math. You can see the source of the calculation that are made which allows me to double check to accuracy. FYI The software is always more accurate then my own calculations. I also like their help tips and definitions so you can better understand what forms your need for the section your in or to explain who it applies to. Plus they offer tax advice when you run into questions. Its pricey for the desktop version, but It helps you get your taxes done quickly.

First time i did a state return. Seemed like alot of steps to finish it after the informtion was entered The fees seemed very confusing. I had to pay for the state download, then pay for a submittal fee I think 40 dollars and some fee for 27 dollars I definitely will do state myself next year. Not worth the fees etc

I've liked TurboTax in the past, and its handy to have my information year to year, but I ran into several instances where I had to "trick" the program because it didn't ask the right questions and then wouldn't let me continue. Also didn't handle my 529 information correctly, and ended up having to manually delete the forms. May look for another solution next year.

This is my 4th year using TurboTax so you'd think I'd be familiar with the program. This year was no different in that I needed to Contact Customer to walk me thru the process to ensure I was on the Desktop version, and not the Online Version; also needed Customer Service to locate and activate the pre-paid program fee. Once in, the program efficiently walked me thru the process. The program asks good questions directing me to required info to enter. When completing the tax return, you need to understand that you are required to pay for the program before you are able preview or print your return.
