I love using Turbo Tax. It makes preparing your tax returns easy with clear instructions and guidance. I only have one critique. The Turbo Tax website makes it difficult to find and download the desktop version of the program. It keeps navigating me to the online version. I have multiple returns to prepare for my family so the online version doesn't fit my needs.

Software is not as efficient as previous years, it auto selected to e-file my PA taxes when I didn't want to do that. I have not paid for that and am sending it via usps. Can't seem to get back to the address I need to send it to now. Utterly disappointed in this program and also how there is no disc anymore that made this more difficult to download. Also, had difficulty getting the print screen to come up.

I'VE used Turbo Tax for several years and this year has been the worst experience of all....lots of program freezing some of which could be my computer. BUT I could not find instructions for mailing completed tax forms or where I should mail them. Everything is geared toward electronic filing.

I don't like how it asked me many times if I want audit protection. I had to hit back button and say no again. There is a glitch with this. Also wish the state e-file fee was free. In forms or step by step, it did not let me choose that I don't want to donate to a political party. It also did not let me choose that I want someone else in my family to be able to view and have access to my tax return. I saw no way to do that.

So many hoops to jump through. I used the download version Federal plus State. First, there are numerous places to inadvertently select costly add-ons. No longer a free state e-file. Finally, I wanted to print my returns but there is no longer an option to print just the pages for filing, just the filed pages plus worksheets used, or every potential form. You guessed it- I had to select from the print preview page. There are probably work arounds to all of these, but it should be easier. That and the constant shilling for extra fees, including some that aren't obvious, are deal-breakers for me. I'm moving on next year.

I have used intuit for taxes since about 1994 Typically use PC This year I used Mac. Was unable to download Northwester Mutual account information. Switched to PC and was able to download and complete the forms. Then I was unable to electronically file. Was hung up at the payment process. Tried intermittently for about 5 days. Then switched back to Mac Still unable. Spent 90 minutes on the phone with three different tech people. They were king but unable to help solve the state E-file problem Filed federal electronically. Needed to mail my state return

I have been filing with TurboTax since 1992. This is absolutely the worst experience I have ever had. Prior to this year I have always used Windows and this was the first year with Apple. This software package is so obviously an afterthought. Understand my complaint has nothing to do with accuracy. It is totally with the Apple software. Looking at on line complaints I see users complaining about the inability to adjust font size going back several years. Why haven't you fixed the problem? I needed to print certain forms for my review and find there is no way to print individual forms after they are selected. It seems your workaround for this shortcoming is to create a pdf and print from that. Again i see complaints going back years. I am also a Quicken user and this was my first experience with the Apple version. I found it actually better than Windows so it really puzzles me why you haven't done a better job with TurboTax on the Apple platform.

You'll see it in my comments. I think for older folks like me this could and was a very stressful experience, and I have been using turbo tax for years. Everything gets more complex than easier. I feel like I'm entering Ft. Knox just signing up for e-filing. Not your fault, but I think you could make the system a bit more user friendly. Younger folks who grew up with computer have a much easier time than we old guys. They can be very intimidating.

I've used TurboTax for many years. The best part is the transfer from previous years returns so I need only to make minor changes to income, INT, etc. and e-File the return. I dislike the cost of the software, ~$60. It does save me time but for what it does I would think it could be less expensive.

My taxes were much more difficult to do this year than previous years. The program took the information from my 1099 Misc for my Ford Legal Services plan and somehow thought that I was providing legal services as a part of my business, (I have no business)! It asked for all kinds of unnecessary information and then wouldn't move on until I entered an EIN, which of course I did not have. I wasted about 30+ minutes just trying to find a work around, just a bad design! When I went to put in my credit card info for payment the continue button was off the bottom of the screen so it wouldn't allow me to continue and finalize my returns. Another 30 minutes for a work around. I have not had these problems in the past. Sometimes changes are not good!
