As soon as I was given access to the TURBO TAX Application, I begin loading my information and by Tax Day it was simple and easy and CALMING to submit my Taxes. The as-you-go checks are excellent guardrails to keep me aligned with what is allowed. Just a great remover of confusion about what is or is not allowed for any and all given areas.

I've used Turbo Tax for many years. It works very well. I have 2 comments. First, on my computer, my user name is my first and last name. Every year this hangs up the program from loading. If my user name was just my first name the loading would work but because I used my first and last name it causes a problem loading. The second item I would suggest, I now have to take RMD's from my IRAs. While entering information at one point the program asks for the account value of the IRA's as of December 31. I had to manually add up the amounts on my 3 taxable accounts. It doesn't specify taxable or Roth accounts. Next year I'll also have a 403b and 401a account which will require RMDs. You should ask for a list of accounts rather then just one line/amount. Just may thought.

TurboTax has not been great this year. TurboTax did not recognize state codes. It is confusing at the end because I am receiving a refund but paying into federal. The total refund TurboTax is giving me is much lower than the state refund I am supposed to get.

TurboTax used to be more user-friendly. In Walk Through version was not given opportunity to select 1099-R for income. This required us to search for 1099-R and was not in "walk through" mode. Also, TurboTax did not allow us to select "Bailey's Reduction" for NC unless we zero'd out the automatically entered Taxable State amount. This required us to search online for how to get to the Bailey's Reduction and still try various things before it worked. Previous versions were easier. Also the automatic data fill in for NC state return should still display the forms that are being populated so we can verify data was accurately pulled in. We had to go through the whole process and print the form before we could verify where data was pulled in and how numbers were calcuated. This should be viewable in the program.

THIS YEARS VERSION HAS NEW QUIRKS - THE CURSOR ISN'T STABLE. I FIND THE CURSOR AT DIFFERENT LOCATIONS ON THE PAGE. I ATTEMPTED TO FILE A STATE RETURN VIA E-FILE FOR MY DAUGHTER AND BECAUSE THERE WAS NOT A FEDERAL ATTACHED TO HER RETURN i COULDN'T FILE HER STATE ALONE. OVERALL TURBO IS STILL MY FAVORITE TAX SOFTWARE.

I've been a loyal customer for over 20 years. We need to adtldress my account. My account wasn't regularly updated this year for some reason. Maybe it was a matter of my account not being up to date. Whatever the problem may be let's address as soon as possible. Thank you.

You keep changing the user interface for stock sales and you keep getting it wrong. If you make a mistake you cannot correct all the fields that were originally entered. You have to delete all the entries you made and start over, or start with a saved copy before you entered stock sales. You have to do this because you can't delete the single entry that has the mistake or fix the field with the error.

I love Turbo Tax Deluxe software every year when I file, and I would give it a 5 stars every time. For this year, there were bugs I've encountered during my entry. I am shock by this. The bug got me spinning in circles for a long time and very frustrated. I went to the community board and asked about this error. Someone else experienced this exact issue a month earlier. Unfortunately, no one offered a good solution. The issue was when entering charitable donation, the app would go in a circle asking for values of the donation, but would not allow it to save and move on. The only option forward was to hit "skip". After messing with it for a long time including deleting all the organizations carried over from previous year, I still couldn't successfully enter a cash donation. I finally gave up and shut down the whole app and computer. When I returned later, the bug disappeared! Second issue I've experienced was about Schedule A Itemization or lack thereof. In the past, Turbo Tax would let me finish entering all the deductions and automatically put them into Schedule A Itemization. Well, this year with this app, it recommended me to take Standard deduction fairly. Luckily, I've found the check box later that would allow me to change this recommendation from Std Ded. Initially before finding this check box to make the change, I couldn't find the buttons to enter my mortgage interest and property tax!

I have used H&R Block software to file my taxes the last 5 years. This year I went with TurboTax. Not doing that gain. Software questions in various sections were not clear, not explained well. The saftware did not allow me to use my total 2024 IRA contributions. I could not over write that. I entered was what on my W2 but the software did not take add up both IRA contribution types. Other questions were not fully explain. Software in general does not appear in a professional format.

No way to get to a live person for simple password reset. The program sends the code and the code does not work. The company forces the user to use a Cell for two step authentication. Why you are not supposed to keep any of my Tax info you are one supposed to forward the information to the IRS.
