I love Turbo Taxes, and have been using it for the past 20 years!! I find it to be easy and understandable. I did try to use the help/support - I got stuck on one issue regarding a credit. I didn't get the help I needed, but I eventually figured out what I needed.

I knocked off one star for an error that occurred and seemed to take too long to resolve. My RMD was a value with cents that did not get rounded to the nearest dollar causing Turbotax to tell me that my RMS was to great a value, or something like that. Your help team told me how to zero the cents and all went well from there forward.

The software is getting poorer and more difficult to use. There is little help built into the software. Turbotax seems to be trying to get you to sign up for tax help rather than provide some basic help in the software. Unsure the software is accurate. Looking at the forms, it did not give me the option to enter a value which I know should be there based on the question asked. To fill out one section, I had to hit back and edit to get the numbers to be entered.

I initially had issues with my interest, dividend, and W-2 form information being loaded into the software. These feeds come from 4 different sites and none of them were pulled in correctly. Upon the 3rd attempt, all pulled in correctly, however once the data was loaded to the form, there were empty generic fields in the form that required that I delete them before I could continue completing the tax filing process. This was very confusing, because one of them was for the investment firm that created a new field when the data was pulled from the same firm I've used for the past several years.

I paid money for this? 5 clicks to say yes to something that i already said yes to. Plenty of redundancy. The IP PIN shouldn't be so hidden. there should be a jump link to the page at the end of filing like where i enter my personal PIN too, not hidden away in the federal other forms.

First time user. Previous years I'd used a CPA and when my now deceased wife had her own business. My taxes are now fairly straight forward so rather than paying a CPA , I opted to doing them myself. And in doing so, I saved quite a bit of money. It couldn't have been an easier process. I'm a 100% satisfied customer.

I've been using Turbo Tax since 2013 and don't see myself using anything else. During years 2020 - 2022 I ran a small home business and used the Home and Business editions. Since then I uses the Deluxe Edition as I no longer run a home business. During all this time I've never had an audit and I've always been thoroughly guided to capture all my authorized deductions.

This year was the first time that I have had problems with TT in the past 10 plus years that I have used it. I spent close to 3 hours on the phone with TT technical support to resolve an updater run time issue with the version I purchased. The good thing is that the three support people I spoke with were professional, knowledgeable, deliberate and very courteous. The problem was resolved with a 'patch' of sorts that created "manual" updating and so I was able to file my taxes.

Step-by-step is the easiest way to start and complete a return, but ,when you are done, it's a good idea to switch to forms view to make sure all info (mainly deposit info) has transferred correctly. The question icons are good - they open up info in a sidebar that is helpful, and includes hotlinks to IRS info (if applicable).

I purchased the new version without CD. I took some time to get used to the software after it was installed. It provided a password without my knowledge and it took me lot of time to get to it, and i had almost gave up. Lately Turbotax understood the problem and resolved the issues.
