I wish the forms were shown parallel with the questions being asked. Also, up front qualification info would be useful so you don't go down a rabbit hole: for example, Medical Expenses - you need more than $7800 of expenses to qualify for a deduction. Also applies to other deduction loops.

The investment income sections needs to be more user friendly - not easy to navigate with someone with a large number of investments. The foreign tax credit section is too complicated, it needs to be simplified. K-1 input is complicated as well - it doesn't align well wiith actual forms.

I have used TurboTax for years. It seems that your additional "fees" do not appear until the end when the user is "boxed" in and your additional information regarding the processing times attempt to sway the user into continuing the path toward these additional fees. I am not comfortable with this and intend to find an alternative to your software.

This is a great program, but I don't appreciate that Turbo Tax tried to snooker me into a $40 charge for processing my refund. For what?? I read the fine print and opted out of that charge. This makes me think I can't trust TurboTax because it tried to take advantage of me. :-(

Turbo Tax removed the screen to tell me to print my city taxes. I had no idea if they e-filed them with my State taxes or how to print the forms I needed. I've been using the software for 14 years now and it always told me to print and mail them in, and gave me a button to print them. This time the window said to just mail them in but no way to print them, and continued with State. I had to call support to find out how to print the forms I needed, Tanya was very helpful be we both struggled to find them.

I love using Turbo tax every year and this year was super easy until i got to the end when it wouldn't transfer my returns to the IRS because it needed an update that Turbo Tax said it didn't need or didn't have. All of a sudden it worked the next day! About time. frustrating but now relieved.

The rating is not so much for this year, but the years past. Apparently there has been a subsistence allowance I qualified for, which was never prompted to me in the past years... it has been in effect since 1995. This would have saved me approximately $200 in state taxes each year.

This was my first experience working with Turbo Tax and it was actually pretty straightforward - my husband had ordered the package and started a little, but then he passed away and I had to figure out how to access the program and figure out where he left off. It wasn't as difficult as I feared, and the tech support guy was a huge help. My main problem was accessing my file after I started and then stopped, but I got it worked out.

Every year since 1960 I have completed the Federal and Maryland state taxes manually myself and mailed them. Because I moved to another state in 2024 I purchased Turbo Tax to make sure I would complete the two state tax forms correctly and then file electronically. I spent many hours entering the data from my 1099s into TurboTax. The two state taxes were very easy and TurboTax deserves credit for that. However, I had to pay $40 for the second state, then you wanted $50 more to file the state returns electronically. I printed out the completed forms myself and will mail all of the forms via USPS. I will probably not use Turbo Tax again because it took me manually about three days, but three times that for Turbo Tax.
