it would help a great deal if you showed the individual account numbers when multiple accounts are downloaded from the same financial institution. Better still why not just have us log into our IRS account at https://secure.login.gov so you can download all the info they already have and walk us through it, so we just have to check for errors and omissions.

Used TT for the past 14 years and will not be doing so again. It used to be easy and quick to get through with minimal cursing. This year, I don't know what happened, but I cursed more than the previous 14 years put together. I used to ENJOY doing taxes with TT. All things must come to an end I guess.

Have not been able to submit my CT taxes. I have several emails that say the CT1040 Form is now ready, I perform the Update, and it still does not work saying DO NOT FILE. I noticed that no updates since December are listed in the Connecticut folder. The update feature does seem to be pulling any fixes to the CT1040 form into my current TurboTax version. I just submitted my Federal taxes. When will this be resolved so I can submit my Connecticut taxes?

Your step by step does not have any point where you can input periodic payments that were mailed into the tax authority. Had to go into the form and manually input my payments. This is especially true for the school tax form since the Federal government does not take out school tax so all of my payments were by voucher via a check and does not appear on the W2 or 1099s.

it would probably less stressful to just have someone else do my taxes.... this software is very confusing at times and seems to get worse every year... I'm told to enter data one way and then there is no way to follow these instructions.. I just get circled back to the instructions...there's nowhere for any clarification except from others users; so who knows if the info is correct . But I can pay additionally and supposedly an expert will be able to explain the voids in their software.

Not good. really difficult to get the federal to E-file. no instruction on what to do if the app won't e-file. spent an hour trying to get this to work. Regarding the state they try to trap you or it appears so, to e-file for a fee. Difficult to get around that and finally print to mail the state.

Unused TT for years. 1st time I'm very disappointed. Interface with Apple iMac substandard. Difficult to navigate & go back to specific sections. Almost impossible to print from my iMac. Used TT Deluxe I like to have a paper copy in my had before I do any of the e-filing. On TT support lots of similar problems for Apple users. Hope you can find a way to make it more compatible and user friendly for an Apple user.

Overall a good system, but there are still a number of software glitches which have not been corrected as far back as 2013. TT forums clearly spell out many issues which have not been corrected. I had to call and talk to one of the TT Tax Attorneys who explained the issue, and he mentioned he is seeing a number of these glitches which appear and cause concerns that make clients like myself call to clear up. One specific glitch causes a form 5329 to be created due to distribution code errors from the 1099-R.

I wanted to let you know that I'm very unhappy on how you changed the format of how Interest and Dividends are entered from the way it has been done for the past 25 years. Much more cumbersome and time consuming to enter INT and DIV information. I hope you can put it back to the way it was. Thanks.

Overall OK, but nagging problems with Turbotax Deluxe forcing respondents to complete California form 3455 when the respondent never needed that form, and then not allowing the taxpayer to file the return without fixing problems in a form they never needed. I had the same problem on 2023 Turbotax program. Deleting that form required quite a bit of online research on my part. Please fix this. It's annoying.
