I have used Turbo Tax for many years, and I keep noticing it has several glitches, often times it skips important steps or questions even when you ask it to guide you. I had my taxes rejected because it completely failed to ask about form 1095a information. I also dislike that you have to enter bank information twice for Fed and State. I used a different method for another tax return, and it was much simpler, and cost was minimal. Thinking about switching next year as I am not satisfied due to the glitches.

I purchased the new version without CD. I took some time to get used to the software after it was installed. It provided a password without my knowledge and it took me lot of time to get to it, and i had almost gave up. Lately Turbotax understood the problem and resolved the issues.

I am going to have to deduct one star because the 2024 Deluxe with autorenewal was not as smooth to use as the previous years Deluxe without autorenewal. In ALL my previous years of using TT, I have never had to reinstall TT or refer to TT support site on how to troubleshoot issues - but this year, TT would hang when trying to go through all sections, sometimes, would hang if I try to open individual sections. If I do everything in one shot it is smooth. But if I save after partial completion and return, I was not able to resume from where I left off - the product would just hang and created anxious moments for me Also, the answers to questions changed after restarting TT, after previously saving a partially completed tax return, forcing me to do things all over again. To resolve, I had to remove students, remove W2s, remove 1099-INT 1099-DIV forms and readd them. I found a workaround on the TT support, which instructed me to switch to Forms view and then delete the form and then revert to the Step-by-Step view - but I don't recall this working reliably.

Spouse got paid a stipend for being in an Essential Tremor research program. They issued 1099-MISC. System took it to be income, requiring Schedule C, but also said it could be claimed as a deduction not income. There is no Business name, type, etc. and CANNOT remove form from Schedule C to re-designate. Will not file with incorrect info so have to file for extension to clear up problem.

One of the items came back that I had to check and there was no explanation as to what the item pertained too. It appeared to be the extra income from gambling winnings. There should have been a drop-down box explaining the purpose of the additional amount the box wanted. There was no explanation other than it needed a dollar amount. For the amount of money, I spend on this service I expect everything to be easy and spelled out in detail.

Desktop App is terrible, not recommended for new people. I saved it in a custom folder, the app. was unable to find the saved document. I spent two hours trying to find the saved document. As for the rest of the app. it is ok if no better tax software is available. I'm using turbo tax for the past 25+ years. there are still room for UI improvement.

I have been using Turbo Tax for years and this year was frustrating. My retirement income was double listed from the down load. My submittal is included with what I paid, but I had to give permission to deduct from my refund to transmit WA does not have income tax, yet a state refund is showing and I didn't file for one. I may not use it again after many years.

All this and I only got $26 dollars refund? But seriously, it does what it needs to do but it feels like it has declined in usability over the years. It is fine, and I will probably continue using it until the IRS gets their stuff together and eliminates the need (ha ha).

I've been using turbotax for over two decades and find it easy to use and accurate in most scenarios. Over those many years I only have had two instances in which I had to override the product. Those were complex tax situations and many years ago. I hope to use the product many more years!

TurboTax inserted wrong information into our returns. I've now being asked by the IRS to supply more info. Turbotax never asked for the information but chose, on its own, incorrect info from a prior return. The app also keeps freezing and sending reports to Microsoft.
