I've used the Turbo Tax CD's for years so downloading this year was a bit scary (I'm not very tech-savvy) but it turned out to be quite easy! It probably helped that I recently bought a new laptop with Windows 11 and lots of bells and whistles. My old one took forever to download anything, including the Turbo Tax CDs. The downside of this years filing was that although I've been using Turbo tax for years, this version couldn't find my previous information. I switched laptops in the past and my information was still available so I don't know what the problem was this time. Consequently, everything had to be entered again manually. Annoying but not a deal breaker. Still more affordable than some online competitors and easy for us non-tech types to use.

Very easy to use. Explanations were simple to understand and the help functions were available for the items I needed help with. The only negative issue I had was actually purchasing the software. I went to Turbotax website and it let me download the mac software without purchasing it, which was confusing because when I went to open the software I was asked for an access code that only comes with purchase. I tried searching for how to purchase and wasn't led to the right place through TurboTax website searches. I only found it through an online chat forum that had a link to the webpage with purchase options. I suggest making the purchase page easier to find.

This year went smoothly as ever EXCEPT IN ONE AREA--1099 Msc for the Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend and for a $100 customer incentive payment. TurboTax routed these 1099s to business and wanted Business Activity Codes for them, which, of course, do not exist. The amounts belonged on Schedule 1. So these were inputed there. They do not show by name there but are lumped in the correct category. Hope you can get this fixed for next year.

Many times the step by step does not allow entry of figures, but I have to enter figures directly in the forms, which doesn't allow the confidence that I have the correct figures in the correct blocks. I am using the PC desktop version that was downloaded--2024. I think that if a step-by-step is offered, it should allow entry in ALL the boxes, not just some.

I've used Turbo Tax for the past 15 or more years and have NEVER had this much TROUBLE navigating pages and understanding what the heck's going on. In and out of all kinds of blind alleys. At least I got something filed, but no confidence it's correct, I'll have to pay someone to check it all over for me and do amended returns if needed. I don't expect to use Turbo Tax again.

TurboTax was recommended to me years ago and it has never disappointed. The questions guide you through so much with help explaining choices to you. I had to manually add form 8962 and form 1095- A, but those should be uncommon for most people. Everything else was so easy and instills confidence in the results.

Works just fine. The first time I must have mis-entered something and my income figures were WAY off, and I could NOT find a way to correct it, so I simply started a new file and took my time. The second time through it was quite easy AND accurate.

Overall, a good program, easy to use. I did run into an issue where everything showed ready to file but when I clicked to file, Turbotax said it found an error. Odd to find an error when filing after passing all of the reviews and error checking, indicating everything was fine and ready to go.

This is horrible. We shouldn't have to tell TT twice and 3 times that we're ready to enter interest or dividend income. The one screen where we choose Interest or Dividend hides the Next button, which is ridiculous/absurd/annoying/a waste of time. By the way, the Review function is stupid. If we view forms after a review, we can see areas that need attention.

Always use Turbo Tax. I purchase every year and download product. One issue, Turbo Tax in the product as I was getting ready to file said I would be charged $20 for filing Colorado State taxes... then when I had to pay, it charged me $25. I paid this $25 amount, but I did NOT get the discount promised in Turbo Tax product as I was getting ready to file.
