I may be older than 65 but I hate the SR form. There is no option to avoid it. I want to enter dollars AND CENTS and not have my entries rounded. There is no option to allow that. I don't give a hoot what the IRS wants; this is for my record. The interface stinks. Huge "continue" buttons with microscopic option selections. No way to avoid "worksheets" and just put data where I want it. Printing insists on wasting paper on stuff that doesn't get filed. But I won't file your printouts because you suppress cents.

TurboTax 2025 Deluxe seems to have several bugs. It is impossible to uncheck some things, without starting all over. I had to do my taxes from the beginning, after getting through to the payment section, because I changed my mind. It erased everything, even though I had saved it. Federal portion printed alright, but the IL state portion was gibberish when I tried to print the 2026 estimate vouchers or the tax forms. Turns out, after MUCH trial and error, I had to install Adobe Reader DC. Been using TurboTax for like 25 years, and this was the first time I couldn't print the forms!! I'm pretty disappointed in this years product.

The disastrous handling of my SSA1099 form caused a gross under reporting of my taxable social security benefits and total taxable income. Running the Turbo Tax error/accuracy check program is a worthless exercise! Intuit should reimburse me for my Turbo Tax Deluxe purchase! More so, Intuit should refund all the many users that experienced software screwup.

I had a few questions while going through the sections; they were answered without further assistance; used the links 'learn more' several times which were useful. I had to access the forms several times to understand what Turbo Tax was doing. Deep dives were necessary to understand the 1040 that was initially shown was a display-only form, there were two 'worksheet' 1040s behind it. Those wks helped to understand the calculations; so glad I am not a tax expert, it would make my head explode.

I like the ‘Forms View' and flag (bookmark) features. I miss Its Deductible; this was a helpful app. and the direct import to TurboTax was easy. Please add form 8897 (qualified opportunity funds); the lack of it in TurboTax forces me to paper-file. It wouldn't take much programming, and many people will need it next year, when the 7-year period after this was introduced ends.

TurboTax kept telling me to update the section regarding AMT, there was nothing to update as my taxes were already more than the AMT. The one item I am not happy with is the process for paying the fees from my refund. TurboTax should have described the process and the use of a third party to change the bank account on the return. Not happy with the process.

I pre-purchased TurboTax. Upon installation, I was bombarded with your TurboTax advertisement for the "on-line" version and I couldn't start doing my taxes until I figured out how to get around that. I had to call the 800 number and listen to the three question prompt "many", many times. I finally screamed at the phone to get me an agent, and it finally did. You need to fix that! I've been using TurboTax since its inception. I have always praised TurboTax to my friends and family. If this happens again next year, I will switch to another tax preparation software.

Questions are not easy to understand, why it asked me to get a value from my previous year when previous year was submitted via TT so when it imported it should import everything. The layout of the application is terrible. Has not improved in 10 years. Some parts have a new feel and look.

During the state payment, I was unable to scroll down to verify which address to use until I minimized my taskbar. I was also unable to scroll through all of the months for expiration date of my credit card, nor type in any month beyond 10 (ie was trying to type in 11, but was only provided 10). This was incredibly frustrating and I ultimately had to use a different credit card. Talked to others with the same issue

I purchased expert advice for $50.00 US. I spoke to an agent named Antonio. We discussed the issues I was having and he was very gracious in realizing that I had more knowledge in the US/Canada Tax Treaty than he had . When I taught him the required items from the treaty, it was recognizable that the tax software did not allow direct methods to solve the issues of US Social Security taxed only in Canada and the exclusion of eared income from Canada for a US citizen living in Canada. Antonio was extremely appreciative of this new knowledge and hopefully Turbo Tax will adjust the software to account for these issues. Consideration should be given to allow a Canadian resident to e-file their taxes.
