I have been using Turbo Tax for many years. I have always wanted the ability to generate adhoc reports. For tax year 2024 the way Interest and dividends are entered and listed are different. I wanted a simple list to print of companies and their interest, divdends, capital gains and was unable to get that type of report. Also, when generating the two year summary report, I was unable to add line item comments for the 2024 tax year.

after attempting to e-file my returns i received an error message that i needed to update the software using the online menu but i couldn't locate an online menu. after going to the help menu i learned that quitting the program and re-opening would generate a request to perform an update. i did this several times before it took. what a hassell. took me an additional 45 minutes to go through these gyrations. why couldn't the update occur seamlessly?

Good tax preparation process especially having used Turbo Tax last year. Like the year to year comparisons. Had problems getting my W2 form accepted by Turbo Tax. I was required to enter information not on my W2 before Turbo Tax would accept it. Same W2 that I have always entered with no problems or questions in previous years. I do not like the lack of what forms and attachments are required to file when not using the e-file process. Also not easy to print out forms to file by mail. Pretty much left on your own

Another wonderful experience using TurboTax. I had to look back, and I saw that I have been doing this for 28 years! It's not always easy, but I have received help along the way through the TurboTax community and explanations within the program. I love how my information transfers over from year to year, and this contributes to the ease of doing my own taxes. Sometimes I switch to form view when I need a little more information from a form, but most of the time I just go through the prompts from screen-to-screen. However, after 28 years, I can pick what I want to work on. What I am saying that I have loved TurboTax for 28 years, and this was yet another good year - federal form and (this year!) two state forms.

Lots of bugs in this version this year. Checkboxes were pre-filled when they didn't apply. I tried to uncheck it and could not. I ended up checking a different box, advancing to the next page and then returning to the previous page just to uncheck the box. After transmitting our returns, we received notices that they were rejected. After investigation, the Affordable Care Act forms were missing. We were never prompted to answer this question in the software, so I had to search for that box to check that it did not apply to our returns. Too buggy that I will likely rethink using this software next year. Actually, this is giving me really good reason to get a second or third review from another source.

I have used Turbo Tax for 0ver 20 years and will continue to do so in the future. The only negative comment I have is that the program becomes confused and difficult if you try and enter real-estate and personal property (auto) taxes at your second residence in a different state then your legal residence.

Much easier to go thru this year. and had options to amend a mistake after I filed. I like the setup on the right-hand side of viewing the forms. I do miss going to the store and buying turbo tax and then buying other stuff while I'm at the stores -- gosh we all are going to grow flat fingers and no toes.

I have used TurboTax Delue for the past several years. This is a very good tool. However, there should be a way to project tax requirements for the upcoming year AT NO CHARGE. This should be a FREE service and/or incentive by Intuit to build customer base. I have found using this tool even with the nominal administrative and processing fees to be solid and will continue to utilize in the future.

You have improved greatly over the years. You still have a few snags. Like the fact that I am allowing the IRS to direct debit my taxes due yet you want me to print the voucher form and mail it to them. Without a check since they are directly debiting the amount. I don't think so. Also I wanted to e-file both federal and state and your program stated I had to swear I had enough money due in my refund from the Federal Tax return to pay the $15.00 due for my state e-file. Can't do that. It was for the state refund and I owed the Federal Government so that wouldn't work. I just went back in after I e-filed federal and e-filed state. And although I had a refund due I guess you don't have it set up to deduct from the state refund. So I paid it online. Your instruction on those items are very poor.

I have been utilizing TurboTax to file my returns for two decades now. TurboTax walks me through my returns step by step - I find it very simple to follow and there are multiple opportunities to search for guidance as I go through the various sections.
