Did we get our taxes done and printed? yes. Was it as intuitive and easy as in past years...no. It may be that this is the first time I've used a MAC to do our taxes but the format wasn't as nice as before. I couldn't delete a 1099-B that I had started and figured out I didn't need. It was different and not in a good way. I felt as though I didn't have as many help screens and ways to edit. Not to mention this was the most expensive version I've ever had to use.

Been using TT for years without problem. This year the application crashed many times so much that I didnt think i was going to complete it. i uninstalled and reinstalled twice, even went back to an older version of my file. Still crash after crash. I was able to file which i was thankful for but it was touch and go

I've been using Turbo Tax to prepare my taxes for the last 10 years or so. Never any problems with any of the calculations. Easy step-by-step questions allow you to secure all of your deductions, credits, expenses, etc. In my opinion, great tax preparation software.

Absolutely botched how to address the new IRS IP PIN function. Had to hunt for it to be able to put in my number. And trying to use the SEARCH function to find info on this was worthless - instead of allowing me to input a search topic, it kept coming up with 3-4 pre-selected topics to search on. WORTHLESS!

Mostly went the same as the two previous decades. Sucked in the information from TT 2023. Loaded the Investor site forms. But when entering Dividends, I made an error on entering one item, and in trying to delete that I added two more errors, which I was unable to delete on the "easy" format, but was able to do so on the "Forms" format. I did the same on a single K-1 entry, and was never able to delete that. I had to enter the TIN twice for the same payer. The program crashed twice, but I finally was able to e-file the Fed return by fooling the software with duplicate entries. Then 9 Pages of T&C's for a review? Review would not "submit" with 3-* or 4-*, so I will up it to 5-*. That didn't work either, so perhaps it crashed a 3rd time. This is the 2nd Review now. Well, that didn't fix TT2024 either. May have to cold-boot the computer.

The program worked well for me. My return is fairly simple, so I got through it pretty quickly. I have been using the program for over 10 years. My complaint is that since the program can only be downloaded from the internet, it doesn't feel as secure. I had pulled the link to Turbotax Deluxe from a web search and proceeded from there. I was fairly far into the process before I was asked to log in. Felt a little unsecure to me. It all worked out in the end, and there is now another return in the rear-view mirror.

Your printing options should be able to exclude voucher forms if you are not going to use them instead of having to pick and choose selected forms. Also, when you go to file and print your forms, the back button should go one back instead of starting again from the beginning if you need to edit something---this is ludicrous! e-file State return should not be an extra charge and should be included in the version you buy.

This is the second year in a row in which I have found a bug in TurboTax. Last year I had to wait several weeks before the bug was fixed. This year I was fortunate enough (with the help of Google) to find a workaround. Also, this year after passing the error check, when I went to actually file the return TurboTax twice told me there was something I needed fix. Software quality control seems to be slipping...

The desktop software is so clunky and inelegant. I didn't realize it wasn't connected to the online account either. The advertising/instructions/upsells are intentionally misleading for state filing fees and fees for processing deposits directly to your bank account. I didn't fall for it. Read carefully so you don't either.

I found the tax software to be complete and relatively easy to use. Lots of instructions and guidance where needed. I was able to complete both Federal and state tax returns in one day. I received IRS confirmation of both receipt and finally acceptance the same evening.
