Have used for many years and usually happy with the results. This year, however, in searching for how to enter information for clergy housing allowance on the website I followed the suggestion which apparently resulted in double counting the deduction. When reviewing again after submitting I discovered my AGI had dropped dramatically. When I went back through the return, I found what happened.

There are basic issues with this product (the download). For example, it constantly asks you if you want to upgrade to live help. Constantly. I had to quit the software and come back a day later to clear it. The software does not explain basic aspects of efiling (WHY we don't need to attach W2s etc). There are HUGE problems with the online form. It FAILS TO CORRECT if a form is counted more than once. The online form eliminated my substantial refund by counting forms multiple times. This is a basic error.

Been using TurboTax for years. I had an issue with getting past the "import data" for income to import several that were not offered as being importable. In the past, TT gave me the option to input manually. It was very difficult to figure out how to do this with this years software. I finally got there but after a number of false starts.

Did not provide discount of $20 rather than paying $25 for state filing. Not able to use a credit card with a January expiration date. Chose not to enroll in 0$ defense service because I have never been audited but I was required to complete defense audit enrollment form in order to proceed with filing my return. These back-end issues are the reason for my 23 star rating.

I've used Turbo Tax for over 30 years (Floppy Discs!) However, each year I start by importing the previous years return, it asks me the same questions over and over - even though the data has been entered previously. "WHAT WAS YOUR HSA BALANCE AS OF 12/31/2010?" A: unchanged from last year's entry!! (and yes - much of this data is "unique" - it's the same account numbers from downloaded accounts, etc) "WHAT WAS YOUR HSA BALANCE AS OF 12/31/2010?" A: unchanged from last year's entry!! That's one of the main reasons I use it - which I now question.... Many of the questions could be better worded. I find HSA questions "confusing" - and disjointed between HSA distributions and contributions....

Confusing State filing. Summary sheet says don't send anything in. But if you don't file electronically, you do have to send in forms. But it isn't telling me what. Didn't used to do that. Used to tell me what to file Also, "Effective Tax Rate" is incorrect. No idea what that is supposed to be. I want to know the tax bracket I'm in. That is the only thing that is of use.

++-I have used TurboTax many years (15?), this version is the mo0st confusing I have ever used. When seeking to answer some questions the answers to the questions were not appropriate. When filling the Audit information screen and the credit card payment screen both were too big for me to use the directional buttons on the bottom. As a result I was forced to ignore that section and chose whatever from other choices were available. I want to use the program next year but I am having seco9nd thoughts.

Experience was poor to mid-line. My original TurboTax basic would not import financial institution data, therefore I had to upgrade to "Deluxe", which I believe was the plan from Intuit all along. Even when deluxe version did the first import, it only imported blank forms without data. It took a second import to receive data. Online expert Tatiana, was 10 out of 10. She was the best.

You would have had 5 stars but I was less than pleased that I kept getting pressured to efile state for additional $20. There was no option to set it for mailing and when I printed form for mailing the cover page would not show address of NJ Division of Taxation to mail the return.

I did not need to use the experts, as I have been using Turbo Tax for over 20 years. I really like the "walk me through everything" option. Even though I know what needs to be done, it makes sure I don't miss anything. If I have a new form, I just search, and info pops up to help me know where the form goes, and what is needed from the form.
