Please just list DIVs, INTs and 1099R's

The new way of entering and confirming interest, dividends and brokerage is painful. Please go back to the old way of just listing each entry, instead of having GUI boxes that take up too much room. Every time I closed a box, it automatically scrolled back to the top of the page. This is NOT what I wanted it to do. Also, I was unable to delete old entries that are no longer needed There was a trashcan icon, but it didn't work.

Printing issues

I have used turbo tax for decades...this time has been the worst experience I have ever had... opening the program took me through a loop requiring a password I had never initiated or used before.....I finally got through that and finished the entries, and filed, and now TurboTax says I can print out my copies, but NOTHING goes through to the printer......I see from your customer problem website that a lot of people are having the same issue...please fix this and issue an update.

Formerly 'Awesome ... now not as user friendly.

I have used TT for more than thirty years, and always found it user-friendly and helpful. This year was a totally different experience. I went through the whole process, and a few days later could nofr access my (saved) file for 2024. I saw it on the laptop but could no longer access TT and recover any of my work (let alone review and check it), To say I was frustrated would b e an understatement! I have nowo uninstalled TT and it appears I might be ab lel to access the previous work ... we'll see!

Disappointing

Worst Turbo Tax I have ever had. Did not include state retirement exemption in list of exemptions/qualified plans. Explanations and directions were not clear and ended up being confusing. Better off filling in the form independently and ignoring the step-by-step guide. I had to cancel paying voluntary estimated state tax because I chose the "pay on website" option and it wouldn't e-file my return unless I cancelled the state estimated taxes. Very disappointed in Turbo Tax. All you had to do is modify last year's app.

Still a Great Product

Ease of use is still the #1 feature, with the one exception being the change this year to how TurboTax displays dividend and interest income. That one single feature/page showing dividend and interest income is extremely user unfriendly, very out of character for TurboTax.

Potentially worthless

Interface is good, however, the Smart Check leaves a lot to be desired. Descriptions for errors are brief and the software does not highlight the value that needs to be changed/revisited. It will not let you file if there are errors still in place leading to an endless loop of frustration making it potentially worthless. Will likely go with a CPA next year instead.

Very easy to use

TurboTax is very easy to use. Even though I have used it for many, many years (since before Windows!), I still use the step-by-step format. Just want to make sure I don't miss anything. I do have one beef. If you print out the return, it uses an overload of paper. Why does each quarterly estimated payment have to be on a separate piece of paper? When I checked out the "all forms" instead of just the important ones, every charitable organization was listed on a separate page.

Long Time Love Affair

We've used Turbo Tax for more than 20 years and just love it. When we added solar panels TT knew how to manage the tax credits and kept track of the carry-over. When my mother died, I was able to do her final return easily with TT guiding me. As we have aged, it's handled all the pesky Social Security and retirement funds with ease. We always feel confident that the return we file is accurate and that the refunds will be speedy. Excellent product.

A good job but a couple of glaring problems

I have two gripes. 1. We were affected by Helene and it didn’t prompt me about disaster losses. I had to manually find the form. Made a huge difference. 2. It’s impossible to find a way to print a simplified form for fiiling state taxes now, almost forcing you to pay $20 to W-file, even when you have a balance due. This feels deliberate.

Not as good as it used to be

I don't like the newer version of TurboTax. The older versions were better. In the current version we had times where it would indicate that something needed to be reviewed but TurboTax did not indicate in any manner what the issue or missing information was. Also there was an area where I was required to explain where a particular amount came from. The calculation was made by TurboTax so why doesn't TurboTax answer the question. It was difficult to search through our tax return to determine where the particular number (in this case it was a credit for an HSA account contribution. Also, even though we had foreign taxes withheld on some investment accounts I don't believe that TurboTax queried about taking the foreign tax credit. I had to search for the area to input this information. Because the foreign taxes were not queried, I believe I missed taking the foreign tax credit altogether on my 2023 tax return. Not sure whether it's worth filing an amended return for 2023 but very disappointed. I think your people are changing things just for the sake of changing things and not necessarily an improvement.
