This year all went well and we filed electronically for both Federal and State several weeks ago. I got the email that said my federal return was accepted. Kept watching my bank account for the refund to be posted, but it never showed. I went back into TurboTax and found that neither return had been filed. I just refiled and got an acceptance AGAIN from Federal. I am unable to file Pa State because your software does not set up for it. I am therefore refiling via mail. GET IT RIGHT OR STOP SELLING TURBOTAX. If I had not been checking, I would surely have ended late with penalties and interest.

Turbo Tax has been consistently reliable all these years. It's the company that I trust when I do my tax yearly. For the year of 2025, I would like to see more guidance, more info, more details, and more links when doing the state return. For tax year 2024, I have noticed that when I did the state of California, there were limited guidance and even no guidance and explanation especially with new tax laws.

I am new at filing taxes as my husband passed away in 2023. This is my second year doing my taxes. The only issue that i found challenging was finding where to enter you social security income. All the other income and deductions are very easy to walk thru.

I computed my Federal tax due using the formula in the 2024 Federal Tax Tables (a relatively simple mathematical calculation). The answer I got is different than the amount calculated by TurboTax, but I am not sure why. I made this comment to TurboTax, but have not received an answer.

Turbo Tax 2024 does not allow you to e-file federal tax return and mail state tax return. In order to mail the state return you have to e-file the federal return and then go back and lie to the question about whether to mail your federal return. You then can print the instructions to mail your state return. Once you have said you are e-file the federal return your only choices are to e-file your state return now or later.

Your product did not provide an easy way to add medicare premiums for someone who does not get social security and has to pay for Medicare themselves. Your online info for that was completely worthless. I had to read through the raw forms to figure out the correct way to enter it. Advice for short term payment payment plan when not able to pay full tax bill was also confusing and no help. The only way you offered was the long term installment plan. I am unlikely to purchase your product next year.

I'm a long time TurboTax user. Every year it makes it very easy to do my taxes. I always eFile. Once in awhile I need to look up something, the references are always right where you need them in the tool. I highly recommend it. Its a great application for the price, and definitely cheaper than paying an accountant or tax firm to do your taxes.

Desktop software was absolutely terrible to navigate. I had to jump through a dozen hoops and pay an extra $100 just to file separately for state taxes, and after doing so, it wouldn't let me submit them so I had to jump through further hoops to file by mail. I will not be using this service again.

I talked with two people, 4/13/25 Joe and 4/14/25 Annette. Both of these representatives were so very helpful. I had challenges with the soft ware accepting changes I made and or allowing edits / typo to correct and consequently caused errors. my second return for my son, was rejected, but not noted by turbo tax. there was an error on w-2 in both name and social security number. I missed it and so did turbo.

Not as user friendly as prior years. Information blocks are very general and not as informative. This year's program compelled me to pay additional $60 to answer questions whereas previous years provided a link I could interact with experts. Also, the forms are provided. however, I still had to pay a state (s) filing fee of 25$. After cost of program software, additional fee for access to an expert, additional cost + taxes for cost of additional State form software, then additional cost of filing state forms, this year it cost me approximately $250 to use TurboTax. I think next year; I'll consider going to an accountant.
