Still undecided how to rate TT. I paid for the software which included free filing of my Fed taxes. I knew that the State E-File would cost extra but only $20. When it came time to e-file you asked me to pay $40 for a "refund processing fee". I don't like surprises.

I have been using Turbo tax for over 2 decades and have had excellent service. The only comment I would wish they would address is the listing of the various income/deductions pages. You must scroll down the various lists to the bottom in order to continue. This is time consuming. I wish they would just jump to the next category without you having to scroll down to the bottom of the page.

Always like using Turbo Tax - used to do all the state and federal research, collect the IRS pamphlets, etc. before I started working through. Took a couple weeks. No more! One surprise this year is no request for the insurance form - 1095, turned 65 this year but still was given lower cost for 4 months - it never came up in the process.

Would prefer options for larger fonts on a Mac. File/Open prior return brings up a second instance of program, but should use the just-opened instance. "New York" is spelled "New york Charitable Gifts Trust Fund." Program asks when you expect to file NY return before getting to e-file screens. Program says some NY forms are not finalized yet but lets you e-file anyway. Hyperlink in program to let user know when new forms are finalized returns an error on the invoked web page. Deleting an investment (e.g., 1099-INT) source returns an OK dialog that is not visible without scrolling, when there is a long list of investment sources above it. Privacy and other ramifications of "Free" Tax Audit defense is not clearly explained.

Overall Turbo Tax is easy to use and accurate. I do wish a "retrace" function was available on the state return. I like that on the federal return I can click on the magnifying glass to the left of an entry and see where it came from. There was one item on my AZ return that was wrong but was OK where I had entered it. I finally had to override it. I also wish Turbo would let us post such errors on a website.

Doing the actual tax input and calculation went just fine. But, completed return will not make a connection with my HP printer. I've used TT for many years. No problem. This year whether HP is connected to my Mac via WiFi or hard wired, the TT file will not make connection with my HP. Everything else is printing as normal. Very frustrating. TT support person could not help and sent the issue up to TT Tech people. I await a response.

I've never had a problem with this software, but this year, I am unable to print my forms. I don't recall having to wait to print the returns until after they've been e-filed. Also, I'm annoyed that I was able to print the worksheets for our returns, but not the actual returns. An average rating actually is charitable.

there is an issued with programming. For RMD there is a portion for dollars and cents that does not use rounding causing an error. The required RMD has the cents and the withdrawal rounds which looks like there was a withdrawal less than the required amount. In our case it was .02 and we were on the phone with Kevin for almost four hours on January 28, 2025. He was very helpful and tried his best. For a solution we went to the actual form and removed the .02 so the amounts matched which worked perfectly. Kevin was so patient and nice. A good learning lesson for all of us. You have a great employee. Thanks Kevin.

Your program used to be great. I have used it for decades. Now, it stinks. It used to take my old return, auto-fill the information and go from there. No more. I have the plainest of plain-vanilla returns. There are no complications. Tried to e-file, and was refused because the forms weren't up to date. Not according to your program! And now I have to mail my Federal return in. Thanks for nothing, $70 down the drain.

Early release has been full of bugs . MS Windows 10 Desktop - After initially installing and working, it just stopped opening. I tried all Intuit suggestions, finally had to reimage my workstation with new windows 10 - Tried to enter property tax deduction, it just goes back to start screen. Lots of chatter on internet about this - Tried to enter charitable deductions, it just hangs
