TurboTax just works.

Have been using TurboTax since its release and it never seems to fail. I appreciate the reviews and checks to make sure there everything is accurate and completed correctly. I was disappointed they removed It's Deductible. That was an excellent tool for pricing items given to Goodwill or Salvation Army.

Horrible program and false advertising

Program was horrible. Wouldn't allow me to transfer my docs from last year, kept dropping info, kept skipping sections. Horrible experience and I have been using your product for years. The topper was when I got to filing my taxes and, even though I paid for the free state, I kept getting a fee at the end. Called to find out that only the download was free not the filing. False advertising as far as I'm concerned. We have always gotten a free efiling for one state and then we paid for one after that. VERY negagive experience.

many software glitches

too many software glitches throughout the Federal interviews and forms, such as: frequent inability to enter supporting details, inability to scroll to correct month to enter credit card payment information. I've been using TurboTax since the mid-eighties consistently - this is the last year though. The software was released without adequate proofing for errors.

TurboTax a Bit More Confusing This Year

Far too many and confusing and somewhat redundant screens regarding INT and Div. The section re: IRA would not let me check the IRA box for my IRA RMD so I had to select Other in order for my taxes to be completed and E-filed. Didn't make sense! The import screen for financial institutions was also confusing this year and I had to try many times to get connected and the data downloaded. Other than that most of TurboTax was as easy enough to navigate

TurboTax needs additional work.

I was not as pleased with TurboTax as normally I expected this year. I am a CPA and normally have no issues with the software. This year required answers on lines that did not require answers. I actually prepared the return twice to attempt to bypass some of the requirements. The program generated a penalty for something we had no control over. I generated the return without the K-1 (results, IRS owed us,1,250) and then with the K-1 (we owed the IRS 9, 676 with the interest). I only received the K-1 on 3/20/2026) Your calculation for the nonpayment of Interest seems.

2025 Turbo Tax was frustrating and annoying!

The format for this year's version was fair at best. Last year's format was much, much better. The glitches when attempting to import documents was annoying and quite frustrating! Bring back the staff that formatted the Turbo Tax program from last year. This experience left me with far less confidence in the product. I will need to think about using Turbo Tax next year which greatly saddens me. I never thought twice about using Turbo Tax, not anymore!

It works

This year there were two areas that I had to go to the forms and input data to fix omissions by the software. Even though the information was requested and given, it was not recorded and thus I had to go in manually and make the notation. This happened with the RMD 1099R. It did not record that all the required distribution had benn made. The other area was it did not give me the option I wanted for the Alabama state tax. I had to go into the forms and select the higher amount.

Quality of program going downhill

Some brokerage companies/banks are not included in the direct import. A lot of the "guidance" is too vague to be of use. The new way that it shows income/dividends/interest/etc is hard to read. State tax portion is poorly done and even more vague. Payment of fees for submitting taxes is messy. Tries to trick you into paying an additional fee. Program says data is good but it still gets bounced back.

TurboTax is awesome!

Mr. Carlos (Tax Expert) was very punctual, he called me exactly at the time the appointment was scheduled. He was very professional, helpful and very patient with all my questions. He took his time attending me one on one, without rushing. His goal was to help me in everything I needed. I really felt that he cared for my case. Still my Go To tax program but PLEASE improve it

Long time TurboTax customer. I have used the full service a couple of times, but I find that I spend 80 5 of the total time gathering and getting documents ready for the entry. So this year I did it myself after the 2 prior years of the full service. A couple of way the programmers could improve: 1. Form 8938 i incredibly tedious to populate. I have a bunch of accounts all at the same bank. I need to key in name and full address for each account. PLEASE improve this so that I can import last years info and just update the bank balance. That would save me 30 minutes 2. The entire process of filing with validation where the data is not carries forward year to year. Same thing. Give me last years info, its all still the same. Then I don't have to key in bank routing numbers, account numbers, drivers license numbers etc. This would save me 20 minutes 3. The big Kahuna.....I have a schedule K1 package from an investment company. It takes an hour to key in all the details - its incredibly tedious. and the amounts for me are very small - like under $10 in many cases. It is such a burden. Why an't this be automated?
