As always easy to use. I did try to follow directions to get my AGI but information was NOT on turbotax website. Not sure if that is only for if you file online. Was able to get from copy I saved for 2024. Everything else was easy to follow. I miss not having the website Its Deductible but found a good replacement (Deductible Duck) Thanks for making some good tax software as I have used it for years ....

Guidance PA State mail-in filing has 2 annoying issues: 1- PA Schedule D as printed does not have Digital oval for Yes or No filled in, even though the corresponding field in the "Forms View" is marked. I used a pen to fill in the oval. 2 - You need to repeat the instructions to send the REQUIRED paper or FAX copies of Detailed1099-B forms for gains/losses in printing instructions for filing. The instruction is sort of incidentally mentioned during filing procedures, but is very hard to find later on. Try it!

For the Federal return the interface is great, guidance and help topics are great, and the import feature is terrific. I have used TurboTax for many years but never the online version, I like the desktop version. I trust TurboTax to help me get the return right an to be accurate. However, I always find the state return to be odd and sparse on detailed explanations but that could be just me.

Expensive, constant nagging and intrusive upsells of services and options during preparation. Product and company now use AI and have LLM AI embedded in products. LLM AI is not safe or secure and no PII or private financial data should be allowed near it. Parent company paid for ending federal tax filing program leaving few options for people to file taxes.

BIG MISTAKE not having It's Deductible as a part of turbo tax software. I have been using turbo tax for decades, next year I will shop around for a tax software that includes something like It's Deductible. I used your substitute program and it unsatisfactory.

Program is cumbersome, has lots of bugs, has constant huge sized updates taking up way too much space. If I could complete and submit my tax return two weeks ago, why can't I file today without installing a 350MB update? There are also several things TT doesn't ask me about that I have to initiate on my on. My return was rejected because I wasn't prompted to input my 1095-A information. This should be a standard question. I use QuickBooks Online and the process for importing my QB data into TT is laughable. Especially considering Intuit owns everything and could prioritize a seamless integration if they actually cared about or listened to the needs of the consumer. After all the effort required to import data from QBO, every year there is missing data in the QBO data file. I don't even waste my time doing this anymore. There should be a one-click dialog box to directly export to TT from QBO. There's no excuse for this process being so onerous.

I have been using Turbo Tax for years and the program just keeps improving every year! I know I can trust it to be up to date with the most current and accurate tax information, and I love the way it walks me through every section and answers any questions I might have. I also love being able to do my taxes at home and not having to pack up everything and take it to a tax office, and my budget really appreciates the money it saves me. KUDOS, TurboTax!!!

The repeated updating ruins the program usefulness. 6 minutes is a lie. sometimes th repeated updates takes hours. that has not happened ever before. you have effectively ruined the program by forcing the repeated updates everytime i start up the program

Overall, I would guess it's improved, but you still ask what I would call dumb questions, especially when you have access to last years return. It's annoying, and unsettling because I stop and wonder why you are asking that question. You have improved, you used to ask way more, but no dumb questions would be the goal. It also might be time to get AI help, because I use ChatGPT a lot, and find it amazing, even live changing. Having an AI option to ask questions with, might be a huge jump into the future for you. I would even pay a small premium to have access to that sort of feature/assistance and help.

It seems as though TurboTax software has become more difficult to use. We experienced many errors in the process and we had to hunt down the errors ourselves. This program has become less intuitive and more cumbersome to use. It would seem that this is possibly designed to frustrate people into purchasing the TurboTax service for completing the forms. Additionally, this is the second year in a row that we were charged for the Audit Defense option even though we never chose the option. We were very frustrated by the entire experience. We will not use TurboTax again.
