Not enough help without discussing with an agent. I liked the old TurboTax, where the help documents were good; instead, they are always trying to steer you to an agent or talk to someone at TurboTax. I have been using this product for over 30 years.

I did on the other page, prior to this page. There are some flaws, with the program, but you have to be knowledgeable user to find them. as to putting the paid State & Local income taxes in the wrong areas, like under the 1099-R in the Tax Payment Worksheet. and different areas from what you W-2 state for State and Local income taxes, at least for PA State, and duplicating the amount that was paid in, that was not operator error, that is what the program did. I don't know about your other states, if their W-2 matched up with your programming, but apparently it sure didn't this year.

What an unwelcome surprise it was to learn that Turbo Tax allowed us to pick the option to receive from the IRS a paper refund check. WE BUY THE SOFTWARE PRESUMING IT KEEPS UP WITH THE REGULATIONS!! Turned out the IRS no longer sends paper checks, so the only way to get the refund is to create an online account with the IRS to then submit a bank account number. But the process has been absolute TORTURE. A horrible experience and it's still not done. Several more days before we learn if they even accepted everything to get an account setup. ALL OF THIS IS THE FAULT OF TURBO TAX and the woeful form that allowed us to pick an option that is not legitimate. I am asking that you give us a credit on next year's software which would be small compensation for the horror we have been through.

While the Import feature would seem to be a "handy feature", TT evidently has not worked with the partners to gather all required information. After importing from 2 brokerage firms, I was asked to review 382 entries for incomplete information. I deleted the return and just did manual entry of the 1099-DIV (s)

Desktop software payment pop up window cannot be resized nor allows scrolling to reach the bottom of the expiration month drop down menu. It does not allow you to manually add the month or use the keyboard to get past the month October. Rescaling doesn't work because it is a pop up window, not the main window. I can't efile my state return because your software doesn't work correctly. When I attempted to apply the fee to my fed refund, an additional $40 fee was added. Luckily I caught it before hitting submit. Get it together Turbo Tax...

It was extremely disappointing to use TurboTax this year. They dropped the It's Deductible feature and replaced it with a dismal and very cumbersome alternative. They failed to properly notify people before they purchased this year's version that they had scrapped the best feature of their software. I do not plan on purchasing Turbo Tax in future years as the itemized deduction process is a pain in the butt now when it used to be easy. I had to go outside of Turbotax to find alternative software to use in getting a value for the goods and clothes we donated.

I have used Turbo Tax for many years and appreciate this product for my federal return. However, I feel it the Wisconsin Tax Return could be improved. For example, this year there was a question about choosing between deducting state retirement benefits from income OR utilizing other deductions but no recommendation as to which choice would be better for our situation.

Many problems with the software. Would not recognize my prior year return initially. Whenever I launched the software and there were updates, clicking the Update button would close the window, then nothing would happen. I would have to quit and start over to get it to work - sometimes several times. Every time I launched it, it would require activation again, and claim that it was activated on multiple machines. When I first purchased it, there were many forms and features missing. All in all, it was a big let-down from previous years.

For the past several years Turbo Tax has been advising that I do not need to file the FBAR. Initially, it indicates I do need to file an FBAR but then a few prompts later it changes and indicates I do not need to file it. This is incorrect. The FBAR needs to be filed if an individual has foreign financial accounts, the aggregate value of which exceeds $10,000 at any time during the calendar Year. The data I unput clearly falls under this category.

I have been very pleased with Turbo Tax in the past 10 years. However, this year there seemed to be some glitches, and the program did not save all of my input, even though I hit "save" after every 3-5 entries.
