Turbo Tax is pretty good.

I choose Turbo Tax mostly because I don't have to enter all the data I entered before, and I am familiar with it. Generally it is helpful and clear. Sometimes the check for errors functions do NOT adequately explain the concern when one is identified. But mostly it works well.

Great Product in TurboTax!!!

TurboTax is a very good product. It drives the user through all possible considerations. When an entry is not understood, TurboTax provides detailed help, with examples that clarify the requirements of the data being asked for. I have 5 small businesses in my household and TurboTax is super-helpful with them! I have only one suggestion for improvement: clarify in every window which BUSINESS is being worked on vs. TOTAL HOUSEHOLD entries being asked for. Thank you TurboTax for a great product; I've been using your product since 1999 as I recall!

TurboTax Messed up this year

I have been using TurboTax since 1995 and up till now I was always highly satisfied. This year there should have been a flag in the section of how we preferred to receive our refund advising that physical checks were no longer an option. It would have saved me considerable time and frustration to get the issue resolved with the IRS.

They Electronically Filed my Taxes without Form 1A

Turbo tax did not include Form 1-A for additional deductions for seniors and filed with that mistake. It is impossible to get any help for their mistake without paying them additional $. They force you to use Windows 11 and their online services are incredibly frustrating and at the end of the day, no actual answers or resources to fix the problem they created for me. I have been using Turbo Tax for 20 years and also other intuit products. This will be my last time with any of the products.

Problem with ID pin

My Federal return was rejected because the ID pin was incorrect. TurboTax imported last year's pin and so that is why the return was rejected. Last year's pin should not be imported, and a reminder to get the 2025 (new) pin should be given. When I obtained the new pin, I was only able to type in the first 5 digits, even though the pin is 6 digits. This is WRONG!! FIX IT,

TurboTax is still the one to beat for the Mac

We have been using TurboTax (Mac, desktop) for as long as it has been available (formerly MacInTax) and we would have a tough time switching now. I am not always happy with the UI changes that come out with each new version, however. This year it was the GIANT buttons (why?) and the need to delete old imported doc references after new ones (same vendor) were imported (seems like the program should have been smart enough to overwrite). I was also annoyed by the "Canadian Pension" glitch that took many attempts to delete. But in the end everything was fine. PLEASE do not ever stop releasing for Mac.

IP PIN requirement

Both my Federal and State returns were rejected due to the fact the ID PIN was missing! This was due to the fact that at no point in the process did Turbo tax request the PIN, nor warn it was missing during the review for errors. Given IRS was not forthcoming with the PIN, I finally found I had to log in to their web site to get it. I found the entry point to enter it and resubmitted the return.

Unable to edit 1099-R entries

I have TT Deluxe Desktop on Windows 11. This year, there was no icon to click on to edit my 1099-Rs. I was able to find a workaround by moving the cursor slowly to the right and I would find a very faint vertical rectangle I could hit to edit (no labeling at all). Next to it was a very faint delete vertical rectangle (no labeling at all). Very poor user interface.

Increasingly disappointed with each successive yea

Increasingly disappointed with each successive year I use Turbo Tax (I've used it since it first came on the market) I could go on all day but will mention This is the third time in my life I have had to buy a new computer b/c of TurboTax. Program won't run on W10 and W11 won't install on older computer. A lot like telling a carpenter he needs to buy all new tools to build each house. Took me most of a day & several calls to open my Intuit account b/c I changed my phone number. Ended up starting a whole new account under another email and phone number b/4 I could enter my license code and start the next day. Why do I need an account, why do you need my phone number, I bough the program, I want to install it just like when I got the disc and installed it. This is the last time I will use TurboTax

why am I still getting updates to TurboTax?

I submitted both state and federal returns the end of February, both were accepted, and I received my state return in less than two weeks. It has been 4 weeks, and I am still waiting for my Federal. Today is March 20th, why is TurboTax still sending updates for state, and federal? Updates should have completed before the season began. Am I gonna have to re-do my taxes?
