very disappointed in Turbo Tax Deluxe this year.. always getting the message to activate the license and will be using up activation codes... I've tried shutting off the firewall and virus protection, but that still hasn't helped... Regardless, I should not have to shut the protection off on my laptop to do updates...and to think it's March 28th and they still don't have this fixed is insane... your business reputation is going downhill the longer you leave this issue hang out there. I've also been a long time user of Turbo Tax with relatively minor issues in the past, but this year is a completely different story..

I spent $80.00 on software for 2022 only to discover AFTER the purchase that I could not take advantage of the e-filing option. When speaking to a representative I was informed that I paid the $80.00 for the software to do my taxes for me... I already had them done, I just wanted to file them electronically and was willing to pay the money to do so. Needless to say that was a waste of $80.00 and I will no longer be using this software... ever again.

We've been faithfully using TurboTax since the early 90's and have never regretted it. We enjoy the simplicity of the Q&A flow and never having to view any of the forms unless we wanted to. All entries we make during the interview process places our responses on to the correct forms and in their respective locations.

Turbotax totally botched my NYS tax. I filled in mid-Frebruary, supposedly after intuit corrected a major bug with the software. But my refund sat in limbo for over a month as not matched in the NYS tracking tool. I've filed an amendment over a month later, hoping the error is fixed and I can get my money.

I have been using TurboTax for many years and this year is the first time i found it frustrating. finding answers to my questions was difficult and the whole process was laborious. I imported the previous years taxes and still had to fill out a bunch of info that was in those taxes (just for example)

I have used Turbo Tax for years, but 2022 the IRS filing date was 10/16/2023, on extension. However for some reason I could not E-file my return, so I had to print it and mail it certified mail. What happened was the preview print out was mailed. I paid for Audit Defense. In December 2024 I received a notice that I owed a bunch of money to the IRS. Due to not receiving a 1099 for $25,850.

Generally clear although I had to look up a couple of topics (outside of Turbo) for additional explanation. It was difficult to submit while working on a laptop only screen. I had to wait until I got home and put it on my big screen, in order to be able to click the submit button. One state submission is advertised as being free, but it is not free.

I've been a TurboTax user since the late 1980s, when it was called ChipSoft. Each year it seemed to get better -- until the 2025 edition of TurboTax. The ability to get "data source" info on lines of tax forms is VASTLY curtailed, as is the ability to initiate "overrides" if necessary. There were points where I was getting error messages on a number which was, in fact, not in error and the override function didn't work. I spent a LOT of time trying to finesse this and finally fudged the data to get the correct results. GRRR! I used to be able to get ALL my Vanguard data in a single transfer -- now it requires multiple steps for each account. If Vanguard is responsible for the extra complexity, as the largest tax prep company, Intuit should work out a more user-friendly solution with Vanguard and save everyone a ton of time. Yes, I'll continue to use TurboTax, but not as happily as before, unless they make at least the changes I have highlighted. And I strongly suspect I'm not alone.

too hard to maneuver back and forth too many steps for easy things (interest and dividends for example) $10 discount is useless for many (unless you have a 2nd state - this was a change in last few years.) Very user unfriendly And trying to upsell every step of the way is tiresome And about 25+ years a user!

Closed out several times during entries and had to reopen. Froze when I was entering information and I had to hard close the app. Additionally, it is not mentioned that I would have to download Rosetta to use the desktop app. It seems to me that Turbo Tax is trying to force users to use their online version. I am very unhappy with this decision. I will look for alternate software next year.
