I was supposed to get 5 E-files with my downloaded 2025 TurboTax Deluxe that I purchased, I only was able to e-file 3 tax returns. A message stated I had used all 5 of my e-files and wanted me to purchase more e-files. The software is helpful, but I got the shaft on this ordeal. No, I am not done filing tax returns yet, two more to go...I hope TurboTax sees this and can help me out.

I've used TurboTax for years, but this time I ran into an issue that made the process unnecessarily frustrating. The program included a section related to certain Canadians who are not subject to U.S. taxes, which didn't apply to me. Several pages required input that was unclear, yet the system kept insisting I complete them. In the end, I skipped the section and it eventually disappeared, but not before it wasted a considerable amount of my time.

This used to be so great - but this is probably my last year to use Turbo Tax. The format is much more confusing - especially around entering retirement withdrawls and pensions amounts. The download feature from Schwab is not working well and missed some of my forms that I had to find and enter by hand - which was OK, but it didn't warn me that the download was incomplete. The bug about Canadian social security number for US Social Security took me an hour to figure out and I finally had to delete the form. And no more Audit Defense? That's sad. It looks like this product was kind of abandoned.

Many problems with the software. Would not recognize my prior year return initially. Whenever I launched the software and there were updates, clicking the Update button would close the window, then nothing would happen. I would have to quit and start over to get it to work - sometimes several times. Every time I launched it, it would require activation again, and claim that it was activated on multiple machines. When I first purchased it, there were many forms and features missing. All in all, it was a big let-down from previous years.

Really??? A $5 discount to e-file a state return BUT only offer the discount after customer actually files the US and state return (with multiple but same routing/bank entries for the refunds) and then ask for a review? You deserve a one-star this year.

I have been using TurboTax for many years. This year I used the Win11 Deluxe Desktop Version. I noticed a disappointingly large drop in quality. The dividends and interest income did not download correctly from my two brokerage accounts. I had to delete the downloaded data and re-enter it by hand. I got a notification that the handling of capital gains will be removed from the Deluxe version next year, but it already did not work. I had to enter this manually as well. The step-by-step feature also did not work well.

Difficult to read; can resize for screen everything; information popups too small and basically with out info. I have used Turbo Tax for 15 years and it has devolved -- I did not trust that it produced a correct result. bells and whistles without readability, informative, accessibility, and it asked too often for me to upgrade! I bought an expensive product and you provided me with your marketing strategy. The product should market itself.

For the third or fourth time in 20 years, a software glitch forced me to spend time on the phone with an expert. These are timewasters. Since it happens too frequently, I am forced to consider another way of doing my taxes. The person I worked with was excellent. That saved me from having to go through the whole thing with another software package.

I have used TT for decades and never found an issue as SERIOUS as in your 2025 version. The issue is with importing 1099 data from financial institutions, WHEN both husband and wife both have an account. The first shows the imports and imports just fine. The second does too only NO user id or password was given for wife's account(s) thus TT allowed me to import my data twice. The issue was my browse still had my account as logged-in even though I deleted the tab added by TT. The solution I had to use was to attempt a sign-on to said financial institution which occurred as expected w/o user or password. I then logged out of account and proceed with "Add Investment" in TT and this time a 2nd user and password was requested. The scarry part is I almost did not catch this issue. I wrongly assumed the TT would recognize dup imported form(s) and suppress the dups; I was wrong. The impact to my bottom-line was 10s of thousands. No, I will not be giving TT a good review this year.

My experience with Turbo Tax went very well until I reached the message "Hmm looks like you've hit a snag." However, I telephoned the number shown for assistance. The Turbo Tax representative listened to me, was very patient, exemplified knowledge, and guided me step by step as she helped to resolve the problem. This representative has outstanding interpersonal skills and is an asset to Turbo Tax.
