It took multiple tries to connect with the with turbotax update service at the time of completing and filling the return. Also, for some undetermined reason the residence property tax could not be entered even though I was taking the standard deduction.

Product overall is excellent and saves me countless hours in preparing and filing my federal and two state returns. One major problem, however, was inability to transfer prior Turbo Tax programs and returns to a new computer, thus necessitating starting data entry all over again from scratch, and losing all year-to-year comparisons. A much smaller problem was an apparent glitch which failed to incorporate one of my withholding payments, no matter how many times I tried to enter it.

Both desktop turbotax delux and business are horrendous to work with in my opinion. All they want to do is sell more help and personal assistance for all the bugs and issues they create. Nice business model! And forget about privacy for their online version from what I saw. I came across constant errors, no guidance on how to handle relatively simple business topics and then their HELP function is no help at all. It never seems to return anything close to what was asked. I had to use chatgpt to find out how to fix the turbotax bugs, delete error prone sheets, record entries, etc. I cannot be the one to figure out turbotax's issues when I pay for it.

It is still simple and easy to use. Although, there was a glitch that would not allow last year's info to be transferred, but it was corrected the next day. When the problem initially happened, your AI assistant blamed it on my 'corrupt' file. But I checked out my file and found it to be okay. I just shut it down and came back the next day hoping you all found that your program was iffy. And so it was. When I booted it up the next day, and the update happened, it worked.

If filing taxes could be pleasurable, then TurboTax makes it as close as possible... One thing though... I was confused in the beginning... I did NOT realize there are at least two ways to begin: apparently there is an On-Line Version... that was NOT what I intended doing... but a support person helped get me back to the version on MY computer... But all's well that ends well... Thanks, Mike

I miss the days when you could switch between the questions and the forms to make sure your information was being reported properly. And paying the state filing fee requires so many hoops to log into Intuit (captcha city) that I should have just printed it and filed by mail.

I'm a TT user for decades. Some truly useful features seem to be discontinued, or are extremely hard to find. i ended up using Gemeni AI to find things. - no way to do a trace back from problematic number to where it was changeable input; cause me couple hours' work - unclear how to differentiate forms from worksheet-forms combinations; in older TT versions, I could easily relate the questions and boxes to the specific line on the 1040, so I could directly fill out 80% of questions/data and concentrate onf the rest using what were better explanations - generally it seems latest TT has minimal explations; e.g. different between HSA, MSA, and TSA, which are very different but poorly explained; I wasted hours trying to get 1099-SA for my FSA until I finally found from FSA company that no 1099's are provided or needed for FSA's

I have used this product for over 20 years. This year there was a change that I wasn't too keen on. You took the ability to go "back" during the review. I made a selection that I wasn't sure about and it cost me $300 in my refund without any way to go back and change my selection.

I did not get ahold of any of your tax experts this year, because I constantly got pressured to buy more product, pay for a tax expert, etc. It seems all Turbo Tax wants is more and more money. It used to be that when you purchased your Turbo Tax product, you were done. I wonder if all the problems with the programming this year was to get people to pay more money to get answers to the problems that were caused by your company.

I've used Turbo Tax for about 10 years now. It has always been helpful in getting my returns complete and accurate in a reasonably brief period of time. I had one problem this year that I couldn't figure out how to deal with. It took a bit of time getting past the automated help line (hence only four starts), but when I actually got to talk with a real person, she was VERY helpful, friendly and accurate. So I still think very highly of TT and of her help.
