Lots of errors this year. Not allowing places to enter living expenses (off campus) for college expenses, incorrect calculations for estimated taxes for 2026, incorrect calculations (numbers not carrying over from K-1's) on Form 7203. If I wasn't tax savvy enough to know what these forms should have been I'd have been in trouble with incorrect tax forms.

I'm a Turbo Tax user of so many years, there no chance of me changing. Although, my returns are relatively easy, I';m sure most returns may appear simple but to some, they present challenges to those that have trouble balancing their respective check books (I've used Quicken to solve that life challenge early on).

Had several issues: First, the software was downloaded into an old inactive account, so I had to spend significant time getting it to where I could use it. The software was very difficult to switch between standard deduction and itemized, the help feature was out of date (in Maryland it is sometime favorable to itemize federal becuase the state standard deduction is low so the net is better. Spend a couple of hours trying to figure that out, it was easy last year and you made it harder. Instructions for what and why I needed to file with form 8453 were not clear. I am e-filing, but the software showed an error for allowing electronic debit to my account even though your software made the election on that form, I hope that works. For my son's return, he used a car in his for business as a contractor last year, but not this year, but I can't get the software to recognize that, it keeps wanting car data, no way to say not used.

I do not like online version as it does not show me my tax or credit in real time. I note in desktop version there is a typo on "Person on the Retun Worksheet" bookmark of the generated PDF, where r is missing from Return. Very surprised to see that from a well known company.

First I had to create a new account because my email changed from last year and Intuit wouldn't let me sign in even with my password and phone number. Then Turbo Tax itself has gotten rid of the charity estimates help for individual item donated. You need to guess how much stuff might be worth now but then they as you how you came up with this total. Finally when printing out a preview copy they also print out an estimated tax for next year that you can pay the IRS throughout the year with. I'm getting a refund of over $500 this year. Nowhere does it explain why and you need to Google this to see it's just a suggestion by Turbo Tax. Is the IRS now running Turbo Tax & trying to get a loan from us?

The Washington State tax return glitch was very time consuming and frustrating. Fix your software so a Washington State return does not hold you up from filing the Federal return. Figuring out how to delete the forms and the return was a nightmare.

This year I found the program a little less user-friendly than in the past. I was still able to get my taxes done. I like the fact that the program checks for accuracy. That feature is very reassuring. I recommended this program to a friend 2 years ago. She's still using it.

TurboTax handling of HSA excess contribution, removal, 1099-SA is utterly confusing and wrong. Sometimes 'last year' refers to 2024, and in other places 2025. TT adds to income even when excess contribution had been withdrawn prior to tax filing deadline of the previous year, and tax on that had already been paid in the previous year. I had to manually fix the form. A small item like this held up my progress unduly in completing the tax return.

For the first time I used the OnLine version of TurboTax instead of the Desktop version. I found it to limit my ability to actually understand the transfer of information to the Forms. As such I had questions about my return that couldn't be asked or answered without looking at the Tax Forms. The only way I could look at the tax forms was to indicate the return was complete and put out a PDF of the forms. Once I stated the return was complete, the OnLine version wouldn't allow me to make changes unless I I stated that I needed to amend the return. After several hours of trying different work a rounds, I finally gave up and found a way to transfer the current OnLine version to the Desktop version. Then I was able to make changes and understand what I was doing. AS SUCH, I BELIEVE THE ONLINE VERSION NEEDS WORK BEFORE IT IS READY FOR EVEN TRIAL WORK.

TurboTax erroneously taxed my military pension on my Alabama state return. I found out that this problem has been around several years, costing me thousands of dollars. The Live "experts" had no clue how to fix the problem. When I complained about the difficulty in finding any customer support contact information in the application, the expert recommended using Google to find it. He suggested that people of my age should be more Internet-savvy and rely less on the Turbotax app for support.
