To make Turbo Tax better: 1. put a "SAVE" button on the form so you can save your return with one click. 2. Make the window default to a larger size so you don't have to stretch it or increase the font just to see it. 3. Stop asking me to buy your extra services. 4. Explain things more thoroughly. Mostly you do a good job, but there are things I had to look up on the internet to figure out what they mean.

I was unable to transfer amounts from three different investment accounts despite the login for each being successful. Transmission failed. As a result, I had to input a lot of amounts by hand. I also had to manually edit a NY State Prior Year Tax worksheet to correct an error that was not of my making. This data should be correctly imported from last year's return.

Confusing guidance on mailing address. I am his tax preparer (legal letter of testamentary for deceased). I live in NY but he lived in Texas. The Turbo Tax software now prints/lists my address in NY as the deceased HOME address. This may cause NY to come after him for state income tax. Happened to me before.

Glad that a downloadable version was still available. Uncomfortable with the strong push toward online software; why ask so many repeated times? Seems like an additional privacy risk given the way the gov has allowed unauthorized access to citizen data. Was disappointed that Windows compatibility required an upgraded computer. With the ability to import last year's filing, it's the easiest way to do taxes on our own.

I've used TurboTax for 5 yrs. This year there were glitches downloading and using the software. I always file to receive an electronic check. When I was doing the final check on the program and saving the return, I was not even given that option. The taxes are filed saying a check would be mailed. GLITCHES

We e-filed our Federal return but wanted to mail our state return, however, the software would not let us do both. In order for me to print our state for mailing, I had to go back to File and select Print for mailing for both Federal and State. Then it did give me an option to only print state. The software does show that our Federal was e-filed, so we are good there. A lot of users will not figure out how to do this. We don't owe the state nor do we have a refund, so we didn't want to spend $20 for nothing.

Turbotax always walks me through the forms asking the right questions. It is easy to use, you can see what form you are filling out as it asks the questions. The more information boxes are helpful and simplify the explanation compared to using IRS tax code.

I've been using TurboTax for more than 20 years. Normally it is a pretty seamless process, other than not handling stock option sales correctly without manual intervention despite having the transaction records being downloaded directly. This year, TurboTax started using up license activations every time I opened it. That forced me to complete my tax filing before the 5 activations were used up. That was quite annoying.

After using Turbo Tax and its predecessors for over 30 years, I am truly considering finding another program. This year's program was extremely difficult to follow. I am an accountant and file taxes for the corporations I previously worked for, so I am at least familiar with things. I had to read and re-read instructions multiple times before, I hope, I put in the correct numbers. This is the first year you haven't included "It's Deductible". When you give frequently to charitable organizations non cash items, that was a God send. If I wanted to price every single item, I would have had a yard sale!

Your sign in process is very hard to follow. Logged in and followed the process. I completed my taxes and the process was easy as usual. However, I went back to print my federal and state taxes and could not return to my completed taxes. I searched my whole computer without finding my completed taxes. I was able to find a live person from TurboTax and he helped try to find my completed taxes. He searched my computer and could not find the forms. He directed me to re-enter my TurboTax and use only that form to fill out my taxes. I am happy with his instructions and I completed my taxes. I must inform you that your "introduction lady" is as useless as a knot on a tree.
