Turbo Tax is a user-friendly program that we've used throughout the years. For the 2025 tax year, I did encounter one problem when it was time to submit the return. The section that asked for both the tax payer and the spouse's adjusted gross income from the previous 2024 tax year was confusing and concerning especially since this section indicated that there could be a delay in processing the return if this information was inaccurate. My husband and I filed a joint return, yet we "both" were asked for our adjusted gross income from the previous year. As a result, we had no choice but to enter the same amount for the adjusted gross income twice, from line 11 of the 2024, 1040-SR U.S. Income Tax Return For Seniors.

Where to include my Qualified Charitable Donation of my 2025 RMD from a traditional IRA was difficult to find when filling out my 2025 Federal 1040 since it was not under Deductions and Credits in Turbo TAx (at least I didn't find it there). It would help seniors over 73if you include a notation in your Deductions Section which gives a link to where in the TurboTax software and the line on the IRS form where this tax exemption information should be entered. I didn't find anywhere to enter the identity and tax iID nformation for the non-profit that received my donation, so won't be surprised if the IRS requests this information.

I love TurboTax but encountered a few problems this year. First, since I still have a Windows 10 computer, I was unable to download this year's program. Fortunately I could go to my Mac; however it was unable to retrieve info from a previous return produced on my PC. Second problem: Computer locked up before I had saved my return, and I lost and had to re-enter the info. Third problem: TurboTax offered to take my state filing fee from my federal refund. Only at the last screen did I find out that it was going to cost me $40 to process the $20 fee. So, I checked online and found out there was no fee if I paid with a credit card. That meant going back and changing the payment option. Why didn't it tell me this before I got so far along? That feels sneaky. That last issue is why I didn't give 5 stars. Do better, my friends!

you made it complicated why not just let me enter next to my pension and retirement I didn't change income. I used standard deduction in 2024 it should have asked do I want standard deduction and took me straight there. been using a long time seem to be more complicated every year

I completed my entire return and now it is continuously rejected by the IRS for mismatched AGI even though it matches my 2024 Transcript. Can't get a human being on TurboTax support line...only a BOT/AI and the answers don't match the issue. Ridiculous and frustrating.

2025 return was jacked up. Dependents were reproduced (had to remove one). Previous year's AGI in summary sheet was wrong (showed $1 and filing single, instead of married filed jointly). I had to manually go into form to change it. Too many interface changes from previous years. Took longer. False advertising: Free State return, but ended up only being $10 off.

It did not function as well as previous versions. It was a little flaky on the third party account access creating many questions on the correct completion of information. The printing/save is unclear. I want to save the Turbo Tax file as well as a PDF and this seemed difficult to navigate. During transmission, the program failed and wanted to install updates.

I didn't like the itemized deduction section this time. There was no longer the assistance like last time where there's a list of items with the values and you can click on all the items and it calculates the total amount for you. This time I had to separate each item and treat it like a separate donation even though the date and charity were the same. It took much longer to complete this section of the form. Was not happy at all with this.

I really like using Turbo Tax and have done so for many years. It is usually easy to use, directions are clear, works well with my computer, and has all the features I need. I have never had an error issue with any of my filings in all these years. This year I ran into trouble with some of the forms that showed "errors" in the final review. All of these errors were apparently the result of putting zeros in boxes where I had no amounts to enter. The system judged these as errors. I worked with three specialists over a two week period to get this all corrected. A warning in the program would have saved me a lot of time. The 3 specialists, Jessica, Robin, an Zanita were all WONDERFUL! They were patient, super smart, and stayed with me until all the errors were finally corrected. I know there were great technicians involved, too but only learned one name - Ericka. Thank you all!

The software is fine. The account system and actually getting it installed is nightmarish to say the least. The worst part of all is they chose to have the software not even work by making it incompatible for Windows 10, which is simply unacceptable. Not working is the worst case scenario. Make Turbo Tax 2026 work with Windows 10, having it not... is pretty much unforgivable.
