I have been using TurboTax for many years. There is always problem with timing of when the program is ready to use. Several things end up being complicated for no reasons. Alway problem with extracting data for sale regarding short term, have to go to each item and check the short term

I have counted on TurboTax to file taxes for many years. The prompts to buy add-on services was annoying. It's good to know where to click if I should want to buy a service, but being prompted so many times reduces my confidence that the TurboTax product is accurate and complete as delivered. Also, I prefer to manage my digital financial information. Using the online version of TurboTax means that a copy is there in addition to the copy sent to the IRS.

Needs improvement - limited or no information on changes to tax laws for 2025, i.e., temporary 2025 standard deduction for seniors, overtime premium. No backup file option and no menu option to delete or remove tax return created in error, i.e., Save As creates duplicate file with custom name.

I am very disappointed with the removal of the ItsDedutible functionality from TurboTax. It has me looking for alternative products for next year. In addition, TurboTax fails to actually include the Tax Calculation worksheet, which is a basic necessary worksheet, despite the fact that the actual tax number in the TurboTax worksheet refers to it in the text, and there is literally no source shown for where that number comes from. I had to download the IRS worksheet and fill it out by hand to check the calculation

Generally easy to use. The challenge is finding how to only file by mail for the State. I had to e-file the Federal first and then go back and "pretend" to file by mail where system told me that the Federal was already e-filed and also allowed me to then print my state return. Would be more friendly to be able to state that at the beginning of the e-filing section.

Turbo Tax is a user-friendly program that we've used throughout the years. For the 2025 tax year, I did encounter one problem when it was time to submit the return. The section that asked for both the tax payer and the spouse's adjusted gross income from the previous 2024 tax year was confusing and concerning especially since this section indicated that there could be a delay in processing the return if this information was inaccurate. My husband and I filed a joint return, yet we "both" were asked for our adjusted gross income from the previous year. As a result, we had no choice but to enter the same amount for the adjusted gross income twice, from line 11 of the 2024, 1040-SR U.S. Income Tax Return For Seniors.

It felt outdated and sluggish at times. Missed explanations at times, had to search for help online. When filing at end it asked for IRS IP Pin but only accepted 5 numbers when my IP PIN is 6 numbers. If my return is not accepted I will try to updated review to 0 stars, if they let me lol. Will look for other software next year.

I'm only annoyed/upset with the estimated state taxes NOT being listed when doing the state return. I hunted thru the state forms several times, then went back to the federal forms looking to see if it was entered there, which I finally saw that it was. I'd appreciate having the estimated state tax field and number shown so it' be a reminder and check that it was done already. Sometimes there isn't time to go end-to-end in getting the federal & state taxes done in a single session. Thank you.

So scanning in everything and the process was okay, but I tried us the online version and when my W2 was imported the program switched my state taxable income with stat tax paid, which then initially reported I would get a $100,000+ refund from the state. I couldn't track it down with the online version so I had to revert to the desktop to get it correct in the worksheet. It was an import from a photo scan but what an error and I missed out on getting a free state filing. Made a stressful process even more of hassle and I can only hope it is all accurate.
